Can Hitch Be Removed At A Later Date On A Leased 2012 Nissan Rogue

Question:

I am looking for an inexpensive hitch that I will use for mounting a bike carrier to. I will not be towing anything. The car is a 2012 Nissan Rogue AWD and it is a leased vehicle. Ideally I would like a hitch that can be taken on and off when I replace this car in 8 months. Please advise.

We do offer trailer hitches that are designed to fir your 2012 Nissan Rogue. The hitch I recommend is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, part # 75902

While looking at the installation instructions, it states that if you have the appearance panels that cover the driver's side and the passenger side frame rails, they are to be removed. The tow hook is also removed when installing the hitch. These items can be reinstalled when the hitch is removed at a later date. No drilling is required for installation of the hitch.

Please keep in mind that a hitch may fit different vehicles, but there is no guarantee. In my research I found that the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch I mentioned does fit the Nissan Rogue through 2014, so if you plan on leasing another Rogue you should have no problem.
