  • Installation of the Prodigy On a 96 Winnebago p-30 chev.
  • Installation of the Tekonsha Prodigy should be fairly easy with the Winnebago having a 7 -way connector installed from the factory. There should be a wiring harness under the driver's side dash that will have at least 4 wires to connect to the brake controller. I do not have vehicle specific information on the Winnebago wiring location, but it should be there if it was a factory option. The wires should provide brake controller functions. If you have a GM chassis then the colors of the...

  • Should Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs be Deflated if the Front is Lifted by a Hoist
  • I took a look a the instructions for the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs - Front Axle # F4100 and the only warning listed has to do with the coil spring. The air bags should not be inflated when they are unrestricted, they must be restricted by the coil spring. So as long as they will still be restricted by the coil spring there shouldn't be any issues, but you could deflate them if you want. I have attached the written instructions for your reference.

  • Derale D13504 Transmission Cooler Installation on a 1993 Chevy G-30 Van
  • There are not specific installation instructions when it comes to installing transmission coolers, but there are basic guidelines for installing one that are pretty universal. The first step for installing this Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, part # D13504, on your 1993 Chevy G-30 van with A/C is finding the best location for mounting the cooler. If you mount the cooler in front of the radiator, you will get the most cooling efficiency from the cooler, whereas it...

  • AirLIft Air Spring Kit AL57105 Installation on 1989 Chevrolet G20 Van
  • For the AirLift rear axle air spring kit # AL57105 we have not had a local customer come in with your same G20 van to allow us to make a video. However, the written instructions are linked and these show on page three the general instructions for both early model vehicles like your 1989 G20 van as well as late models. I included a diagram from the instructions that shows the bracket placement on the u-channel frame rails of an earlier model like your 1989 G20. I spoke to my tech contact...

  • Parts Needed to Install a Tekonsha P3 90195 on a 1995 Chevy Van
  • Having the 4 Flat and 7 Way already installed, you are very close to being finished. You will need a length of wiring ( # 10-2-1 ) as well as 40 amp ( # 9510 ) and 30 ( # 38630 ) circuit breakers. You will need a few other odds and ends like butt connectors and the like, but you are mostly there. Unfortunately we do not have a list of installers, but I always tell people to check with an auto shop you have had good service from. They will typically give you the best price and do the best...

  • A 1995 Chevy 3/4 Ton Van has a towing capacity between 7,068 and 10,000 lbs. You will need to look at your owners manual for more specifics on your unique vehicle. There will also be a sticker inside the driver's door jamb to give you information on your towing capacity specific to your vehicle. You will see there the GVWR of your vehicle and the GCWR to allow you to determine your towing capacity. You will simply subtract the gross vehicle weight rating from the gross combined weight...

  • How Does Starter Solenoid # PK5230701 Wire Up
  • The 2 larger terminals on either side of the solenoid # PK5230701 are 12 volt power in and out. Power in can come from the battery or alternator. The two smaller terminals are for ground and an ignition source (something that only has 12 volt power when the ignition is turned to the on position). It does not matter which is used as they can interchange. Pollak states to mount the solenoid in an enclosed area but DO NOT install in the engine compartment.

  • Installing a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller on 1988 Chevy G20
  • Before you can install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, # 90195, you will need to make sure that you have a trailer connection installed on your 1988 Chevrolet G20 van. You will need a trailer 4-way flat connection installed on your van. If you do not have a 4-way installed, then you will need the Curt T-One Wiring Harness, # C55338. The wiring harness will connect to your vehicle's wiring by plugging into existing plug in the harness. No cutting or splicing of the your vans factory wiring. Next,...

  • Where Does a Trailer Wiring Harness Install on a 1996 Chevy Conversion Van
  • Directly behind the tail lights on a 1996 Chevy full size van is where you would plug in the trailer wiring harness # C55338. There should be connectors that will mate with the ones in the wiring harness. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. On a conversion van, accessing the tail lights could be a little trickier than on regular models but it all depends on how the conversion van is equipped.

  • Functions of Three Prongs on Battery Isolation Solenoid
  • The two side prongs on the Battery Isolation Solenoid # PK5231201, and likely your solenoid, are for voltage in and out to your auxiliary battery and the center connection is to the ignition power source, so it sounds like you have guessed correctly. If you take a look at the accompanying photo of Solenoid # PK5231201 it shows this. Keep in mind that a solenoid is only designed to provide a maintenance charge so you do not drain the battery on your '89 Chevy conversion van. To charge...

  • You are correct, the 15K Truck and Trailer Winch, item # E52801, is designed to be mounted to a trailer or trucks bed.
