How Does Starter Solenoid # PK5230701 Wire Up

How do you know which post is the ground on a 4 post continuous duty solenoid?

The 2 larger terminals on either side of the solenoid # PK5230701 are 12 volt power in and out. Power in can come from the battery or alternator. The two smaller terminals are for ground and an ignition source (something that only has 12 volt power when the ignition is turned to the on position). It does not matter which is used as they can interchange.

Pollak states to mount the solenoid in an enclosed area but DO NOT install in the engine compartment.
