The distance from the center of the lug to the base of the channel plate on the Lock N Roll Articulating Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler part # 336TS508 is 4-3/4". view full answer...
The Lock N Roll Articulating Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler item # 336TS528 would be your best option for attaching one of these systems to the Malone Mega Sport Kayak Trailer item # MPG550-AH. It fits a 2" wide channel and the channel on the Mega Sport is 2" wide. It looks like the wiring comes out of the bottom of the trailer's tongue so there shouldn't be any worries about interference. view full answer...
The tube length of the Lock N Roll Articulating Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler part # 336TS506 is 6-5/8" which you can see in the photo below as well as the attached video. view full answer...
Good question, and there is not a tongue weight rating for the Curt SecureLatch Pintle Hook with 2-5/16" Ball - 2" Hitches - 14,000 lbs # CU57FR.
This does not come with a pin and clip or lock, so I do recommend adding a lock to help protect your investment, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # C23519. view full answer...
In regards to the Lock N Roll Articulating Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler part # 336TS528, the distance from the bottom of the coupler base to the center of the mounting hole is 1-1/2". view full answer...
According to Demco the Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM15931-95 is 13.7" long.
Don't forget a etrailer Brake Coupler Lock # e98888. As this coupler has an oversized latch to make unlatching easier but does require a special size lock to keep your trailer secured. view full answer...
Hitch pins and hitch pin locks like the etrailer lock # e98882 do not typically have weight capacities as they do not normally bear the weight of the trailer since the tongue weight pins the mount into the hitch tube. This would work well in a flat towing setup too even though the tongue weight isn't quite there. view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at DeeZee and she said the diamond tread plate of the DeeZee Specialty Series Trailer Tongue Toolbox # DZ91717, is clear coated and measures .056. The toolbox comes with a cylinder key lock, but does not offer other locking options. view full answer...
Hitch pins do not have weigh capacities because they do not actually support any of the weight of the trailer. When there is 10-15% of the tongue weight of a trailer's total weight applying vertical force on the ball mount it actually is so bound up in the hitch that the hitch pin doesn't actually keep the ball mount in the hitch.
In your case it would be the 1,200 lbs of tongue weight on the ball mount that keeps it from sliding out of the hitch. So the part # BD580402 would do a great... view full answer...
Thank you for your purchase of the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler - eZ-Latch. The diameter is 5/16" and the lock that is designed specifically for Demco couplers with the eZ-Latch is the following:

The torsion action on the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1024 is designed for trailers with a tongue weight of 500 lbs - 1,100 lbs so if you were to tow a lighter trailer using this ball mount then the torsion part would simply not operate and you would essentially be using a fixed ball mount.
So really the only bad thing about this is using a hefty ball mount for a lightweight trailer but if you plan on just leaving this on your truck then you don't really have... view full answer...
The tongue weight ratings of the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS20040C are 10% of the towing weights. So for the 2" ball with the 7,500 lb towing weight it is 750 lbs and with the 2-5/16" ball with the 18,000 lb towing weight it is 1,800 lbs.
I do recommend using the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # C23025 with this to discourage someone from running off with it. The ball mount part is actually in a channel so when the shank is locked in your hitch receiver the ball mount part can't be removed. view full answer...
Yes, the Blaylock EZ Lock Trailer Coupler Lock # BLTL-33 that you referenced does fit the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM13203-95 that you referenced. The max diameter shackle you could fit through the hole on the 3/4 inch long pin is 3/8 of an inch like what the Master Lock Stainless Steel Padlock # ML40D has. view full answer...
To answer your questions in order:
1)Yes, you will be able to use the Kuat Transfer 3 with the 2" hitch receiver on the EcoHitch Hidden Hitch # 306-X7221 . The Transfer 3 is a great choice for carbon frame bikes because of the ratcheting wheel mounts that make zero contact with your bike frame.
2) The discrepancy on the tongue weight of the hitch is likely down to a weight capacity upgrade made by EcoHitch after the hitch was released-rarely are the instructions updated. I checked with... view full answer...
Thanks for the photo, and the distance between the front and rear bolt holes is 5 inches for the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler - Silver - 2-5/16" Ball - 3" Channel - Bolt On - 21K # DM16080-52.
So if you measure the bolt holes on your trailer's tongue and they are 5 inches, this coupler will bolt right into the holes you have.
I do recommend adding a coupler lock for added protection, the etrailer Surge Brake Coupler Lock - 3-3/8" Span # e98888.

Our hitch locks like the etrailer # e98881 would easily handle the weight of a 7,500 lb trailer. In general they aren't weight rated though as they don't end up carrying the weight like you might think they do. The tongue weight of the trailer presses so hard in the hitch that it ends up creating enough friction to be what pulls the trailer and not the hitch pin. view full answer...
Hitch pins and hitch pin locks like the part # e98882 that you referenced don't actually bear any weight when used with a ball mount so they don't have weight capacities. The downward force of the tongue weight of the trailer is so great that the ball mount is pinned into the hitch so hard that none of the weight is put on the hitch pin. view full answer...
I went out to measure the Lock N Roll Articulating Trailer Hitch for 2" Receivers - Vehicle Side # 336VS501 and found the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the latching mechanism is about 6", the length from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the receiver is about 11" and the overall length is approximately 13-3/4".
Like the title says this the vehicle side of the ball mount and will need a trailer side coupler such as the Lock N Roll Articulating... view full answer...
Use of a hitch lock such as Tow Ready # 5200 or the Hollywood Racks # HRLHPTC will NOT reduce your hitch's tongue weight (TW) capacity. TW is generally more of a function of the host vehicle itself - its frame strength - and of the hitch.
Some bike racks use a proprietary type threaded hitch pin/lock that will work only on racks from that manufacturer. This is true for the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock set # HRLHPTC but the general-purpose lock # 5200 for Class I and Class II hitches is NOT threaded... view full answer...
