  • The Curt # C13206 is a quality hitch with good customer reviews. It used to fully made in the USA but now is only assembled here. The Curt has the crosstube hanging below bumper as well so you will see it once installed. I added a video review for more detailed information.

  • Comparing Curt and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receivers For a 2023 Subaru Outback
  • The only difference between the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C67JR and the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e25TR is the powder coat finish. We selected Curt to build our receiver hitches as they are a quality Made in the USA product we are comfortable putting our name on. The Curt will have a gloss black finish while the etrailer has a matte black finish. Both will fit your 2023 Subaru Outback. I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 when you install the receiver....

  • Comparing the 50 Inch and 58 Inch Long Malone AirFlow2 Roof Racks for a 2017 Subaru Forester
  • Yes, the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack part # MPG215 and the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack part # MPG216 will both fit the raised factory side rails on your 2017 Subaru Forester. The only difference between them is length as you alluded to, 50" long vs 58" long. The 58" long crossbar will have a slight decrease in aerodynamics as it is longer therefore more surface area for the wind to come into contact with but this is not anything that you would be able to notice. The best one for you really...

  • Hitch Ground Clearance For Trailer Hitch Receivers On a 2022 Subaru Outback
  • While we do not measure for ground clearance on the receivers that we have installed on the 2022 and similar Subaru Outback's we have had in our shop, we do measure the receiver height which will give us an approximate ground clearance height. On the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT73RR we measured the height of the inside top of the receiver to be 16" after installation. That will give you a ground clearance of approximately 13-1/2" to the bottom of the receiver. The...

  • How Much Does the Curt C13410 and Draw-Tite 76227 Hitch Weigh for a 2015 Subaru Outback
  • The lightest trailer hitch for a 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13410 at around 27 lbs follow by the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76227 at about 30 lbs. I think these are both great options because of the hidden cross tube but personally prefer Curt over Draw-Tite.

  • Differences Between Curt Class III Trailer Hitches for 2015 Subaru Forester
  • The primary difference between the two is that once installed, the # C13144 will be completely visible from the rear of the vehicle. The # CU64FR is designed a bit differently, the hitch crossbar will be concealed behind the bumper with the only visible portion of the hitch being the receiver tube and the safety chain hoops. The # CU64FR is preferred by most because the entire hitch isn't visible. Because we pay more for the hitch and it's more in demand, the # C13144 is priced higher....

  • Comparing Curt and Malone Roof Racks for a 2017 Subaru Forester
  • The Curt Roof Rack for Raised Side Rails part # C18118 and Malone Roof Racks like part # MPG216 are both excellent options for a 2017 Subaru Forester. I recommend the Malone Roof Rack because of the higher weight capacity and longer crossbars which allow you to carry more items. They both have aero shaped crossbars and come with locks for security.

  • Comparing Capacity of Curt and EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers on 2022 Subaru Outback
  • The Curt # C67JR and EcoHitch # EH34FR vary based on the manufacturer testing. The EcoHitch tongue weight is higher based on the design of the hitch and the testing that was performed by the manufacturer. This is the same for the Curt, but based on this design and testing the # C67JR is only rated for 350 lbs. More than likely this will not make a difference between them since you will be limited by the capacity of your 2022 Subaru Outback. Make sure to consult your owner's manual for...

  • Comparing the Curt Hitch CU64FR and Draw-Tite Hitch 76182 for a 2017 Subaru Forester
  • The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # CU64FR and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76182 will have a concealed look therefore only the receiver tube opening will be shown once installed. In regards to the heat shield, this must be trimmed with either option because they install in the same spot on the frame. I have attached a photo that shows how much you will need to trim but this is a very minor alternation and not anything you should be worried about as it will have...

  • Comparison of Available Trailer Hitches for 2022 Subaru Outback
  • Both hitches offer higher capacities than the maximum towing and tongue weight capacity specified in the owner's manual (3500GTW/350TW for 2.4L or 2700GTW/270TW for 2.5L equipped models) so the slight differences in capacity between the Curt # C67JR and the Draw-Tite # DT94YR are irrelevant. You're correct, both hitches would be mostly concealed once installed with the receiver tube opening and safety chain loops being the only visible portion of the hitch. Because the hitch is manufactured...

  • Comparing Thule T2 Pro to Kuat Sherpa 2.0 on 2018 Subaru Crosstrek
  • The Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack # TH83JV is a very nice rack that will tilt-away, fold-up, and will hold the bikes by their wheels. That rack will allow bikes up to 60 lbs each and with tires up to 5 inches wide. The closest part of the rack when folded is 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin and the carrier weighs 52 lbs. The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack # SH22G is also a very nice rack that will tilt-away, fold-up, and holds the bikes by their wheels. The rack...

  • What is the Difference Between the Curt # C13409 and the Draw-Tite # 76271 for a 2021 Forester?
  • There is only one main difference between the Curt Hitch # C13409 and the Draw-Tite Hitch # 76271 for the 2021 Subaru Forester. That difference involves the bumper clearance measurement of the shanks. While the Curt measures 4 inches from the center of the shank's pinhole to the outer surface of the Forester's bumper, the Draw-Tite has a 5-inch length. The extra inch of the Draw-Tite will be advantageous of you are looking to purchase accessories that require you to clear the rear bumper. As...

  • Difference Between Curt and Draw-Tite Hitches for 2019 Subaru Crosstrek
  • Yes, the biggest difference between the Curt trailer hitch # C13382 and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame hitch # 76209 is that cross-tube on the Curt hitch is hidden behind the bumper, whereas on the Draw-Tite it's fully visible as shown in the comparison photos on a 2019 Crosstrek I've attached. For this reason, I recommend the # C13382. The installation on both hitches is pretty straight forward, requiring only to lower the muffler, insert the hardware in the frame and raise the hitch in place...

  • Does Install of Curt Hitch on 2021 Subaru Ascent Void Warranty
  • The warranty of your 2021 Subaru Ascent will not be voided as a result of installing the Curt Hitch # C25VR because of the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act (P.L. 93-637). The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act in short states that manufactures cannot void the entire warranty of a vehicle simply because they installed an aftermarket component. I do however recommend you look this up for yourself though to be safe.

  • Yakima Y07070 LoadWarrior Versus Thule TH859XT Canyon XT Cargo Basket on 2015 Subaru Outback
  • Given the choice, I'd recommend the Thule Canyon XT, part # TH859XT for several reasons. -The Canyon basket at 49 x 40 is larger than 44 x 39 the # Y07070 LoadWarrior. -The Canyon's fairing on it's leading edge is at a sharper angle than that of the LoadWarrior for better aerodynamics and less wind noise. -The curved sides of the Canyon provide a more modern, refined look. -The mounts for the Canyon will slide fore and aft on rails, allowing it to fit crossbar spreads from 20-37 inches,...

  • Trailer Hitch Fits for 2017 Subaru Forester Limited
  • We offer both 1-1/4-inch Class II and 2-inch Class III hitches for the 2017 Subaru Forester. All choices are displayed on the linked page. Hidden Hitch was a brand of hitch, now discontinued. I suggest a 2-inch Class III hitch for its higher capacity and since this size gives you more options for accessory carriers like bike racks and cargo or scooter carriers. Since all hitches for the car will bolt on to the same points on the frame the position of the hitch cross tube and receiver will...

  • Difference Between etrailer and Curt Hitches for 2024 Subaru Crosstrek
  • The etrailer # e98912 and the Curt # C13382 are identical aside from the finish. The Curt has a glossy finish while the etrailer hitch has a matte black powder coat finish. I prefer the matte black since it gives it more of an OEM look. It also does a better job hiding dirt and scratches when compared to the glossy finish. If the appearance doesn't matter to you then the best choice is whichever has the lower price.

  • Comparing the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 and Saris SuperClamp EX 2
  • The Kuat Sherpa 2.0, part # SH22G, and the Saris SuperClamp EX 2, part # SA4025F, are both wheel-mounted bike racks. However, the more robust design of the SuperClamp's wheel cradles (front and rear) along with their straps WILL allow the rack to work with bikes with fenders as confirmed by Saris. The wheel hooks will contact the front and rear tire just below where it meets the fender (see photos). I've also linked a video review of this bike rack for your consideration.
