The Curt Q-Series fifth wheel hitches, like the Q-20 # C16530-16020 you were looking at, have been known to have compatibility issues with certain pin boxes that ends up wearing the head out too quickly. Depending on the severity of the grading you could be placing a lot of stress on the head which will eventually wear down the bushings and require complete replacement of the head unit. It's a great hitch but with it being known to wear quicker and this being your main concern I recommend... view full answer...
Hey Tom, from previous customers with your trailer we have determined that your North Point has a 1621 model MORryde pin box so for a Gen-Y pin box you would want the part # 325-GH-8040 that you referenced. view full answer...
Since the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch 30051 fits into industry standard rails which is the same pattern Curt uses for their rail kits you are able to use them Andre. For your 2015 Ford F-150 you would need the Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C38ZV which includes the above bed rails and custom fit below bed mounting brackets.
The Hopkins Wiring # 41157 will allow you to tee into the bumper 7-way and add another 7-way connector in your bed. This protects both the trailer wiring and bumper... view full answer...
The best option is to use the Reese Goose Box # RP94716-61301 as this is currently the only replacement pin box approved by Lippert to not void the frame warranty on your 5th wheel camper. Do understand that this pin box does have a maximum trailer capacity of 16,000lbs so it will only slightly reduce your maximum loaded capacity.
You will need the Safety Chain Kit # RP49151 since you are switching to a ball connection and all ball connections require safety chains by law. view full answer...
The Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails with Installation Kitt # C16200 is not going to work with your 2021 Ford F-150, unfortunately.
Instead, I recommend going with the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C38ZV which is a custom fit kit that will work with your F-150, includes the mounting brackets, install hardware, and is made in the USA. view full answer...
Hi Daniel,
There unfortunately haven't been any locking pins designed for the B&W Companion # BWRVK3600 yet so you'll have to remove one (or both) of the pins and use a padlock that has at least a 3-1/2" to 4" useable span that has a 7/16" diameter or less pin. They say the pins in place are 1/2" but they are really 7/16" and with the thick powder coating on the hitch head you won't be able to stick a 1/2" diameter pin through the slot. When towing you can not use the locks and must replace... view full answer...
Hey Gary,
Base rail components unfortunately aren't cross compatible between brands so you'll likely have a hard time finding new hardware unless you're just referring to the nuts and bolts. If the under bed mounting brackets are also worn you'll need a complete replacement. If it's just the nuts and bolt's you're needing then you can measure the bolt length, diameter, and grade and then thread size and just get replacements at your local hardware store.
For a complete replacement you'll... view full answer...
The Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit # RR23QX has 2 mounting holes as you are able to select either a 1-1/4" rise or 2-1/4" rise depending on which hole you select to attach the brackets. view full answer...
Hey Lyndwood, based on the slide motor part number you found on your Arctic Fox 27-5 368807 the correct replacement is the part # LC368190. view full answer...
Hey Ryan,
Based on the photos you provided it looks like you have Reese # RP50066. The replacement hardware can be purchased with part # RP58430. This kit is on extended back order at this time (May 2024) so it may take awhile to actually get. view full answer...
Thank you for the serial number Matt, I can tell you have the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 leveling system so you will need either the Jack # LC428493 if you currently have jacks with welded on foot plates or the Jack # LC344792 if you have detachable foot plates on your current jack. Lippert was not able to tell me which style you had off the serial number. view full answer...
Hello Mike,
There is not a replacement camera that is compatible with your Furrion FOS48TAPK-BL, as the cameras (and monitor) for that system are now obsolete. The cameras now are only for the for the newer Furrion Vision S systems, so unfortunately it won't work with the last generation F0S48TAPK-BL Furrion system you have. If your cameras are not not working with your current system you would have to replace the whole thing with the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System w/... view full answer...
You will need the Hydrastar Disc Brake Kit # HSE7K-T1 along with 4 Grease Caps # F001526 for your 2020 Grand Design 310GKR. The kit contains the correct hub/rotors, calipers, brackets, hardware, lines and actuator you will need. The 2020 and newer GM trucks will not require an Adapter Module # HBA-CAM but you will need to make sure the truck is up to date on the controller software and it is switched to electric over hydraulic mode. view full answer...
You can replace the Lippert Rhino pin box on your Brinkley 5th wheel. The right one though is going to depend on the pin weight of your trailer. Here are the options that will work to replace the Lippert Rhino:
- Pin Weight of 1,500 lbs - 3,500 lbs: Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY98GR
- Pin Weight of 2,500 lbs - 4,500 lbs: Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY33GR
- Pin Weight of 3,500 lbs - 5,500 lbs: Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY23GR view full answer...
There would be additional stress on the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550038 you found caused by backing up in sand. Since the sand would allow the truck to slide more easily this would place additional stress on the head since the truck and trailer are not going to be turning in a normal fashion. While its impossible to predict if this would lead to premature damage to the 5th wheel hitch I would also be wary of sand getting inside the hitch which would also cause additional friction... view full answer...
The Replacement Roller Wheel and Shoulder Bolt # C79UR can be installed while the hitch is in the bed of your truck. It would be easier to pull the pins and place the hitch near your tailgate though so you can more easily stand behind your truck rather than laying in your bed. view full answer...
You will want to contact B&W directly to get replacement foot pads for their B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches like the item # BWRVK3500-5W you were looking at. They don't offer those to be sold by retailers. view full answer...
Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out!
The first thing you want to do is make sure the rails are clean and clear, and that they are lubricated with something like the Roadmaster LubeMaster Dry Silicone Spray # RM-747.
If that doesn't work then you'll look for places on the legs that are binding and potentially need replacing - you might even need to replace the entire leg section. Let me know what 5th wheel hitch you have and I can let you know what the correct replacement leg kit would be. view full answer...
Thanks so much for that info Tyler, and I was able to find the right Gen-Y gooseneck pin box for you. Since you have the Lippert Rhino on your 2024 Jayco Eagle 355MBQS, the right option is the following:
- Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY33GR
The # GY33GR is the correct replacement for the Rhino, and is for loaded pin weights between 2,500 lbs and 4,500 lbs, which is perfect for the 15,200 lb GVWR of your Eagle 355MBQS; with that GVWR your pin weight will... view full answer...
Hey Ron; the # 58293 is the center section of the Reese Select Plus 30081. I have not heard of a head unit moving more just on one side, so my best guess is the center section where the head attaches or the head unit itself is damaged on that side. I'd go ahead and remove the head unit to see if there is something amiss there.
This 30081 has been discontinued for quite some time so I'm sorry to say there aren't any bushing kits or much in regards to replacement parts. view full answer...
