Would Using The Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch In Sandy Areas Cause Additional Stress on the Hitch?

How well does the demco Auto slide 6107 work on the beach backing up to my site Does backing up on the beach in the sand cause extra stress on the auto slide unit somehow or any damage

There would be additional stress on the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550038 you found caused by backing up in sand. Since the sand would allow the truck to slide more easily this would place additional stress on the head since the truck and trailer are not going to be turning in a normal fashion. While its impossible to predict if this would lead to premature damage to the 5th wheel hitch I would also be wary of sand getting inside the hitch which would also cause additional friction on the turning mechanism.
