Troubleshooting Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch Not Locking in Place

My slide will not lock into maneuver or tow,but it slides back and fourth.

Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out!
The first thing you want to do is make sure the rails are clean and clear, and that they are lubricated with something like the Roadmaster LubeMaster Dry Silicone Spray # RM-747.
If that doesn't work then you'll look for places on the legs that are binding and potentially need replacing - you might even need to replace the entire leg section. Let me know what 5th wheel hitch you have and I can let you know what the correct replacement leg kit would be.
