Expert Answers about Ford Trailer Door Latch

  • Replacement Cam Action Door Latch Kit For Rear Double Door On Lark Enclosed Trailer
  • Based on images I could find of Lark enclosed trailers with a double rear door it looks like you are going to need the Kit # PLR258-002. This will give you the mounts, handle, and catches for your trailer but you will need to source the 3/4" steel pipe and hardware needed locally and have the handle and cams welded to the pipe. If you have something different from this type of setup please send me your images and dimensions for the parts you are looking to replace.

  • While we do carry Hinges # LC95VR, Latches # 295-000019, Gaskets # CS94VR and other parts for trailer doors we do not carry entire door assemblies. • How Much Clearance Is Needed Between The Compartment Door And MORryde Sliding Cargo Tray
  • Hi Norm, The components at the front end of the MORryde RV Cargo Sliding Tray # MR89FR are all very close to being inline with each other. The lip on the tray sticks out the furthest and even then it's a negligible amount. MORryde doesn't list a clearance requirement but I'd give yourself at minimum 1/4" - 1/2" from the opening to avoid any issues. Most RV compartment doors sit flush with the wall because of the flange that prevents the door from swinging in so as long as you're behind...

  • Replacement Coupler for an Older Gooseneck Trailer Latch System
  • Thanks for the photos, Rickey! That is definitely an older style of gooseneck coupler and while I do have a solution for you to get your gooseneck trailer back in working order, we unfortunately don't have any repair latch kit for the style you have on your trailer. What I recommend doing is having an experienced welder cut off your current coupler and weld on the 20K capacity Bulldog Coupler Repair Kit for 2-5/16" Ball # BD0287740300. This gives you a lockable coupler with a newer style...

  • Are There Keyed Alike Trailer Coupler Locking Pin Sets Available
  • Hey Dave, We offer hitch pin and coupler latch pin kits with part # e99039 that you could have keyed alike but they don't come with the a lock for the coupler itself. We do offer the BOLT Locks brand which keys to your vehicle key so that you only have to carry one key. I would just need to know the year/make/model of your vehicle to determine which coupler lock # BL7032491, coupler latch lock # BL7025285, and hitch pin lock # BL7018447 you'll need.

  • Which Demco Surge Disc Brake Actuator for Trailer that Weighs 12k
  • If you are absolutely sure you'd never be over the 12k number you listed a 12.5k actuator like the Demco part # DM8104311 would work great. I really like how easy to use the EZ latch couplers are of the Demco actuators. If you wanted extra capacity just for a little peace of mind Rick going with the higher rated Demco EZ Latch actuator part # DM8164311 would be a great option too. There's really no downside to having more capacity than needed also.

  • Recommended Automatic Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch And Air Springs For A 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 High C
  • Hi Wally, To determine if the truck can tow the trailer you'd need to subtract your truck's curb weight from its Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating (GCVWR). This information can typically be found in the owner's manual, on the driver's side door jamb, or on a sticker in the glove box. Once you have this number you can compare it to the GVWR of the trailer to see if the truck is capable of safely towing it. Adding air springs in to help support the suspension would definitely be a good...

  • 2 inch Ball Coupler Recommendation for A-Frame Trailer
  • I checked with Curt and they only have a 2-5/16 inch ball version of the QuickPin with the part # C84DR. S for a 2 inch ball a-frame coupler I really like the Demco coupler part # DM14793-52 which has the eZ Latch that I think is the easiest and least likely to get hard to operate over time like a lot of couplers do.

  • Replacement Coupler Options for a 1963 Boat Trailer With 1-7/8" Fulton Coupler
  • The only Fulton coupler repair kits we carry are the # F670801 and # F640801 which are for much heavier duty couplers. Due to the age of your trailer you will most likely have to replace your coupler unless you can find the parts from a used coupler. I do see we have a few options depending on the width of the pole tongue on your trailer. We have a 2" # CT-2001-Z, 2-1/2" # CT-2002-Z or 3" # CT-2003-Z option. All of these are capable of bolting on to the tongue, have a 1-7/8" ball fitment...

  • Parts Needed To Install 5 On 5-1/2" Bolt Pattern Hubs On a 1987 M105A2 Trailer
  • To be able to run the same 5 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern for your Jeep Wrangler on the M105A2 trailer you are going to have to cut off your current spindles to have 2 Spindles # TRU77FR installed. This is the common size spindle found on a 3,500lb axle which will then let you install 2 of the Hub/Drums # AKHD-555-35-EZ-K. With these you will want to install Electric Brakes # 23-468-469 since they are much better on an Overlanding trailer than surge type brakes. We do have a Junction Box # 3430001-JBK...

  • Parts Needed To Install a 6-Pin Wiring and Brake Controller on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Factory 4-Way
  • Okay Mike, but I am actually going to give you a couple different options since the 6-way is not very common and we do have the more popular 7-way option which would only require a simple Adapter # 47549. First if you only want the 6-Pin connector we have the Kit # ETBC6 which will connect to your 4-way and also provides you with the wiring needed to run the required charge line and brake controller. Otherwise we have the more commonly found 7-Way Kit # ETBC7 which is very similar to...
