I spoke with my contact at Curt about the fitment of the Class I Receiver Hitch # C11028 on your 2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata with the Appearance Package and he said that although it does fit up to the frame, there is a significant amount of fascia trimming that needs to be done for you to have access to the hitch receiver. Hi Andrew; the etrailer # e95ZR and Curt # C13427 are identical. The only difference is the powder coat finish. The Curt has your standard glossy finish and the etrailer hitch has the matte black. The matte black helps hide dirt and also typically blends better with OEM trim on vehicles.

We had another customer ask about a 2014 Mercedes E350 with the Sport package and determined that Curt trailer hitch # C11001 is a fit. There are no 2 inch trailer hitches that will fit though. There may be some trimming required because of the Sport package (if the rear fascia hangs lower on those than standard wagons).

Brad, yes it's totally fine to have 1/4" on either side of the tracks # Y01127 - Yakima just states that the tracks need to be aligned with each other and that they are symmetrical on the vehicle.
