Can the Yakima Roof Tracks Be Bent/Cut for Install On a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question:

Im considering installing these yakima rails to naked roof on my 2021 chevy silverado 1500. the rooftop is irregular has ridges/grooved sections and looks like if I install on the ridges figured would give me best clearance for kayaks there will probably be 0.25inch overhand on either side of the rail. 1 that ok? 2 Also, the roof isnt flat will this easily flex to conform to the slope of roof? And, 3 can this rail be cut to get ideal length? thanks!

Brad, yes it's totally fine to have 1/4" on either side of the tracks # Y01127 - Yakima just states that the tracks need to be aligned with each other and that they are symmetrical on the vehicle.

As far as your roof being curved that's also fine, these rails can be bent for installation. Lastly, for trimming to fit specific lengths, you can do this as well - you'll just want to make sure the cut(s) are clean and that the end caps can be put back on.
