The Kia Souls and Sportages are very different vehicles so a hitch from one would not fit the other.
For the 2017 Sportage you would want the etrailer # e72TR which is a confirmed fit and would work well. view full answer...
I did some checking and it looks like your front wheel drive 2013 Kia Sportage can only be towed with a tow dolly. You can't tow it with all 4 wheels down on the road. We have the Roadmaster Tow Dolly part # RM-2050-1 which is a great option that would work well.
Flat towing setups are typically more expensive than this dolly and can't easily be transferred to future vehicles like this dolly can so it's not a terrible option. Plus there's no in-depth install like the tow bar setups can have. view full answer...
You can have an aftermarket trailer hitch installed on your 2014 Kia Sportage. It doesn't have to be the factory or dealer installed hitch to use a cargo carrier. For your Sportage the most popular hitch option is # C13120. I have linked a video showing installation of this hitch for you.
The Curt aluminum carrier # C18100 will fit your Sportage but only when it is in the folded down position and not when folded up. There is not enough clearance to fold up the carrier on this particular... view full answer...
Hello, thanks for asking this question. Your tongue weight, TW, for a Class III hitch can be anywhere from 300-800 lbs. depending what the manufacturer has rated it to be due to testing; your accessories have max weight capacity rating too. Between these two components, your specific max weight to carry per manufacturer guidelines will be the lesser value of the two used together. But also keep in mind you should check your vehicles owners manual as well, the true max is the lesser value... view full answer...
The Curt trailer wiring harness part # C56321 that fits your 2022 Kia Sportage does not affect the reverse camera at all. It would function exactly the same as it is now. view full answer...
To tow your 1702lb 16' trailer with your 2016 Kia Sportage I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13120 as it has a 525lb tongue weight rating, and 3500lbs trailer weight rating. It is possible that these rating exceed the towing capacity of your Sportage, so I recommend checking the owner's manual of your vehicle to find its towing capacity and use the lower rating between the hitch and vehicle.
Kia does mention that to tow a trailer over 1000lbs... view full answer...
Yes, we checked with Hollywood Racks and they have confirmed their Express 3 bike rack part # HRE3 as a confirmed fit for your 2006 Kia Sportage. I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well.
If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video... view full answer...
According to my research, the 2011 Chevrolet HHR came with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission and they are both flat-towable as is. However, you will be limited to a maximum of 65 mph while in tow. In order to tow the vehicle with all four wheels down you will need a few components which I have listed for you below:
Tow Bar - Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520
Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit part # 3141-1
Safety Cables - RoadMaster... view full answer...
What you need is the Roadmaster Brakeaway Kit part # RM-8600. This is the correct breakaway kit you'd need for your Brakemaster 9000. view full answer...
Basically most states (if not all at this point) require a supplemental braking system by law. Part of that stipulates that you have to have a breakaway system in place that the vehicle's brakes would apply if the vehicle became disconnected.
All of the kits we carry like the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR come with a breakaway system so you would not need to purchase the kit separately. view full answer...
According to the owner's manual, the 2016 Sportage can tow 1000 lbs, or 2000 lbs if the trailer is equipped with brakes. The maximum trailer tongue weight (maximum amount of weight that can safely be suspended from the hitch) is 200 lbs.
The Curt Class III Hitch, part # C13120 would be an excellent choice. As you can see, the hitch itself has higher capacities than the vehicle does, but because the vehicle's capacities are lower, you'll be limited to the capacities of the vehicle.

Yes, we have the Wesbar # 787196 which is an 8 foot long 7-way to 5-way. I know you need a 4-way but this will work well as the fifth circuit would just not be used. view full answer...
I recommend the K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror, part # KS3891 for your vehicle. As long as you have a lip on the edge of your mirrors, these will work great for you. These mirrors are sold individually and will attach to either the driver or the passenger side mirrors. These mirrors measure 7-3/4inches tall by 5-1/8 inches wide. I have attached a link to a product review video for you. view full answer...
The # 63232 is a popular choice is a great device. The # 63232 uses a threaded insert that would install into the hollow shank of the hitch accessory. It really works well. However, the insert needs to stay perfectly aligned with the hitch pin hole in order to work correctly.
As you mentioned, although the # RM-061 Quiet Hitch is a great product, it lacks the ability to lock which is why I'd rule it out.
As for the cargo carrier choice, I'd for the Curt # C18145, due to its heavy... view full answer...
For a 2" hitch on a 2013 Kia Sportage, I recommend using the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # HLY64FR. It can handle two bikes up to 80 pounds each and is compatible with Class III hitches (the 2" hitches we have listed for your Sportage show a Class III rating). It can handle tires up to 5" wide.
I've linked to a video review of the adapter below. view full answer...
I recommend looking into the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # SA4412B. This carrier uses soft cradles that attach to the bike frame and not the wheels, making it compatible with step-through bikes that have fenders or baskets like yours. This also has a second slot for another bike, should you ever need to bring a second bike with you.
The weight capacity is 60lbs per bike so make sure your bike does not weigh over 60lbs; if it does then perhaps you could remove... view full answer...
Sounds like you are looking for a trailer hitch and bike rack for your 2012 Kia Sportage. For a trailer hitch you'll want the Draw Tite part # 75717 which is a confirmed fit (install video attached below).
I really like the Saris Freedom Superclamp part # SA4025F. This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be easy to install and remove from your vehicle since it's light, but also it'll be very easy to load bikes on since it's a platform... view full answer...
The 2020 Kia Sportage is different enough from the 2015 models that a new hitch fit had to be made from Curt and our other manufacturers. So for a similar Curt you would want the # C13281 which I attached an install video for as well. view full answer...
According to the owner's manual for the 2011 Kia Sportage the 2-wheel drive models can be dolly towed. It states: "On 2WD vehicles, it is acceptable to tow the vehicle with the rear wheels on the
ground (without dollies) and the front wheels off the ground." the 4-wheel drive models have to be towed with all 4 wheels off of the ground.
The 2011 Kia Soul can also be dolly towed but not flat towed with all 4 wheels on the ground.
If you need a tow dolly and the tires on the vehicle are... view full answer...
I have a good solution for you but there are not any confirmed fit trunk mount bike racks available for your 2019 Kia Sportage. With the spoiler configuration there will be too much pressure there and likely cause damage.
I highly recommend instead using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13281 and a hitch mounted bike rack like the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR which will hold 4 bikes and weighs about 38 lbs or the Thule Helium Pro 3 Bike Rack part # TH9043PRO which is... view full answer...
