What can I do to Carry Three Bikes with my 2019 Kia Sportage

Hello, Need help finding a 3 bike trunk rack to fit a leasedinch 2019 Kia Sportage. Would the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount Item # TH911XT work? Thank you!

I have a good solution for you but there are not any confirmed fit trunk mount bike racks available for your 2019 Kia Sportage. With the spoiler configuration there will be too much pressure there and likely cause damage.

I highly recommend instead using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13281 and a hitch mounted bike rack like the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR which will hold 4 bikes and weighs about 38 lbs or the Thule Helium Pro 3 Bike Rack part # TH9043PRO which is one of my favorites which will hold 3 bikes and weighs 25 lbs.

The Helium has included locks to lock the rack to your Kia and your bikes to the rack. It also is a bit easier to use because of the cradle design and the way the bike goes on. They are slightly smaller to allow the bike to slide into place more easily.

I understand that the vehicle is leased but there are no modifications made to the vehicle during this installation. It can be installed in an hour and removed in a little less than that. We have actually put this hitch on in about 15 minutes using it for test fitting here in the shop. Meaning you can install it, use it and then take it off when you turn in your lease.

I would be concerned using a trunk mount rack on a leased vehicle even if one did fit because of the likely hood of scratches where the pads of the rack and car meet.
