When flat towing a vehicle behind a motorhome you want the tow bar to bewithin 3 inches of perfectly level. We call this the "safe zone" for flat towing. I've linked a help article for you. Once the 118554 harness is connected to your 2010 Jeep Liberty it will connect to any trailer with a flat four pole harness. If you need a flat four pole harness for your trailer we do have one available. Nearly all supplemental braking systems have a breakaway system built in so you would not have to have a separate one. Supplemental braking is required in most states anyway so on the systems that come with a breakaway you are killing two birds with one stone so to speak.
