For your 2021 Toyota C-HR the two hitches are basically the same which is very interesting but the difference between them is very subtle which allows the # C11490 to fit all models of the 2018 to 2021 Toyota C-HR whereas the # C11567 happens to also fit the 2019 through 2021 Toyota Corolla hatchbacks as well as the C-HR models. So honestly Curt probably should have just the one part number but they have both. view full answer...
I verified with the manufacturer for you that the weight is just 25 lbs for the Curt hitch that fits your 2020 Toyota C-HR, which is the following part:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11567
I have added a link below to a video install of this hitch on a similar model year C-HR for you to check out if you'd like to take a look. Additionally, if you plan on doing some light towing with your C-HR you'll need some other parts as well, which I'll list out for you.

I have the perfect solution for you in the Saris SuperClamp EX 2 # SA4025F, which will fit in the 1-1/4" hitch receiver in your 2019 Toyota C-HR. This rack weighs in at 35-lbs, so it's one of the lightest racks on the market, and it will tilt away from your rear cargo area, as well as fold up when it's not in use. This rack comes with a hitch lock and locks for the bikes, so everything will always be secure. This is also a wheel mounting rack, so you won't have to worry about using a frame... view full answer...
I have a solution for you, but it looks like the 2019 Toyota C-HR has either 215/60r17 or 225/50r18 tires, and the # PW2016C does not fit on either of those tires. Instead, if you've got the 215/60r17 tires you could use the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains - 1 Pair # PW1038, which are Class S compliant for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance.
If you've got the 225/50r18 tires, the Titan # TC1553 are a good solution that are also Class S compliant and would fit on those tires. I... view full answer...
If you're looking for the easiest hitch to install on your 2019 Toyota CH-R, then the Curt # C11567 is your best option. Installing this hitch is actually pretty straight forward:
To gain access to the mounting points, you'll begin by removing two underbody panels on the rear of the vehicle. From there. remove the fascia clips holding the lower bumper fascia to the rear bumper body panel.
With the panels out of the way, remove the bumper beam assembly. Once removed, use a hammer to... view full answer...
Curt trailer hitch # C11567 is a confirmed fit for the 2018 Toyota C-HR. There is no drilling required for installation. I have included a video of this hitch being installed on a 2018 Toyota C-HR. I hope this will help.
If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch. I have linked the... view full answer...
Owner's manuals are the most reliable resource for knowing a car's capacities so I checked an online edition of the manual for the 2018 Toyota C-HR on the Toyota website for details.
Page 160 indicates the following:
"Toyota does not recommend towing a trailer with your vehicle. Toyota also does not recommend the installation of a tow hitch or the use of a tow hitch carrier for a wheelchair, scooter, bicycle,
etc. Your vehicle is not designed for trailer towing or for the use of tow hitch... view full answer...
I pulled the picture below off of that link you sent over the weekend. A DJ Fat Bike weighs 63.9 lbs without the battery. It has a 275 lbs capacity. Unless your brother is planning on sitting on the bike while it's on the bike rack you won't have any issue with the 200 lbs tongue weight limit that the Curt item # C11567 has.
The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack item # TH903202 is the only class I capable bike rack that will work with a Dj Fat Bike. This bike rack has a 65 lbs capacity per bike... view full answer...
Yes, it is possible. To add a roof rack to your 2022 Toyota C-HR, without rails that does not overhang, I recommend the roof rack by Yakima which includes the following parts:
Yakima BaseLine FX Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - Qty 2 item # Y89UV
BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2 item # Y06117
BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2 item # Y06176

Yes, we do. To add a hitch to your 2022 Toyota C-HR, I recommend the Curt item # C11567. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Toyota with included hardware.
The Curt Hitch item # C11567 is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver. It is the highest capacity hitch available for your car with a 2,000 lbs towing capacity and a 200 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I really like this hitch because the crosstube mounts behind your rear bumper leaving only the 1-1/4" receiver exposed. This not... view full answer...
For your 2022 Toyota C-HR we have the Draw Tite hitch part # DR94FR as a confirmed fit. The Curt you mentioned is not a fit and would not work. If you need trailer wiring too the Tekonsha part # 118756 is the best option as it's most reliable and easiest install. view full answer...
Your vehicle's owner's manual is always going to be the best source to find towing capacity, but from what I could find in my own research the towing capacity is going to be roughly 1300-lbs. Based off that, you would be able to tow a small trailer with a motorcycle. For a hitch I recommend using the Curt # C11490 because the concealed design it going to help give you a bit more ground clearance, which will be especially helpful for a smaller couple like the C-HR.
For a complete towing... view full answer...
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11567 and part # C11490 which are both fits for a 2019 Toyota C-HR are the same for intents and purposes. I recommend going with whichever is more cost effective at the time. The former hitch however is compatible with a Toyota Corolla as well but that is it as far as differences go. view full answer...
I have a solution for you, but there are no trunk mounted bike racks that are a confirmed fit on your 2018 Toyota C-HR, so you won't be able to use the Saris Bones 2 # SA805BL. Instead you would need to install a hitch like the Curt # C11567, which has a 1-1/4" receiver, and then use a hitch mounted bike rack. This rack installs by bolting onto the frame of your vehicle without any drilling required, so it's a relatively easy installation process that can be completed with some basic hand... view full answer...
The trick to picking out a roof rack fairing is to go with the length of fairing that best matches the distance between the feet of the roof rack.
If that distance is closer to 48 inches you'd want the part # INA262 or if it's closer to 40 inches you'd want the # INA261. view full answer...
Yes as long as you have a hitch installed on your 2019 Toyota C-HR like the # C11567 the Swagman XTC2 part # S64670 will fit and work really well. view full answer...
When installing the Curt # C11490 trailer hitch, underbody panels must be temporarily removed, as does fascia, although it does get reinstalled, as you can see in the instructions for the Curt hitch that I added.
The modification that does need to be done is to the tabs on the end of the bumper beam, which need to be flattened down to ensure they are flush, which you can see in the cutout of the instructions. view full answer...
Your 2019 Toyota C-HR is only compatible with Class I hitch receivers. This will limit you to carrying just two bikes. The hitch receiver that I recommend is the one you attached to your question, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4", part # C11490. I like this hitch receiver because once it is installed you can only see the receiver opening. This hitch receiver has a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs.

The 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lb item # C18145 you were looking at weighs 28 lbs and is one of the lightest cargo carriers on the market. If the tongue weight capacity of your 2021 Toyota C-HR is 200 lbs then you will be able to carry 170 lbs of cargo in this carrier. I have linked a review video below that shows this cargo carrier being installed and used on a C-HR we had in the shop recently.
