It really doesn't matter where you install the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660, you'll just want to install it on fairly level ground. If you installed it on a hill where the trailer was at a different angle than the tow vehicle then it would affect the effectiveness of the friction bar and either be too tight or too loose. There isn't a diagram available specific to the Tekonsha PowerTrac Brake Controller # 39523 but it uses standard brake controller wiring. No, the Custer Wireless LED Tow Bar Light # LIW-LDTL-7B would have to be in the motorhome 7-way in order to receive the traffic signals from the motorhome and send them to the light bar. If it was in the towed vehicle you wouldn't get a signal at all since the vehicle isn't running and sending anything to the 7-way.
