It does appear to have proper fit for the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRSB4S, that you would have to insert a spacer between the Timbren and the mount on your lifted 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 4x4.

I may have a solution for you, but we do not have a direct OEM style replacement shock for the 2006 Chevy Avalanche. However, you may be able to use the Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211 in place of the broken shock. This has been confirmed to work with GMC and Chevy trucks, so it should work on an Avalanche just the same.

I did some digging and it looks like the instrument panel contains blunt cut wires near the data link connector for the trailer brake controller on a 2013 Chevy Avalanche. The harness bundle contains the following wires:
-Dark Blue: Brake Signal to Trailer Connector
-Red/Black: Battery
-Light Blue/White: Brake Switch - (2007 Avalanche will be Light Blue)
-White: Ground
