  • Is the Roadmster Anti-Sway Bar for a 2008 Chevy Avalanche Better than the Factory Bar
  • The Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar, # RM-1109-168, would be an upgrade to the one that is on your 2008 Chevy Avalanche. It will only work on models that came with a factory sway bar and coilspring suspension. The bar also comes with different bushings constructed of Polyurethane which works better than traditional bushings. The steel used in the Roadmaster bar is also an upgrade from the standard steel used in factory bars. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.

  • Differences Between K Source Custom Towing Mirrors, Recommended Sway Control For '03 Chevy Avalanche
  • The only difference is K Source Custom Towing Mirrors, part # KS62075-76G have LED turn signals and # KS62075-76GE do not. Other than that they are the same product. Air Helper Springs, like The Firestone Ride-Rite # F4108, will help control sway on rough terrain, but the main purpose of air helper springs is to keep your vehicle level when hauling heavy loads and level off-center loads. Since you already have a weight distribution system with sway control and feel like you need more...

  • Comparing Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller to Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller
  • On your 2013 Chevy Avalanche, the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 and the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller (9030) # 39510 will be very similar. Both will work well and provide the same proportional braking, but the setup and adjustability of the Prodigy P2 will be easier and any errors easier to determine. They will install in the same way using either # 5506 or # ETBC7 for the brake controller wiring.

  • Recommendation for a Transmission Cooler with Max Cooling Capacity for a 2007 Chevy Avalanche
  • The Tube and Fin Class IV Transmission Cooler, item # D13105, is designed for towing with a gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer, up to 12,000 lbs. This transmission cooler will supply excellent cooling for your Avalanche and will not affect the performance of your vehicle when not towing. You cannot cool the transmission too much. The only consideration is that when it is very cold in the winter you should allow the transmission to come up to temperature before taking off or putting a load...

  • Is There a Way to Tell Difference Between 12k and 15k Trailer Brake Assemblies
  • 12k trailer brake assemblies like the part # 23-442-443 and 15 assemblies like part # 23-446-447 can both be 12-1/4 inch by 5 inch and use the same 7 bolt mounting pattern so dimensionally it's hard to say. I would look for part numbers on your assemblies to see if you can determine it that way or you could look on the axle for a capacity listed. The big difference between the two will be magnet sensitivity as the higher rated assemblies will need a magnet that grabs a little harder....

  • Comparing Timbren and Firestone Vehicle Suspension Enhancement for a 2003 Chevy Avalanche 1500
  • In terms of capacity, the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, # TGMRG25C, for a 2003 Chevy Avalanche 1500 has quite a bit more; a total capacity of 6,000 pounds. Compare that to the maximum 1,000 pound capacity of the Firestone Vehicle Suspension, # F4108. Both systems will offer similar benefits including helping to keep loads level, improved steering and balance, a better ride, and will prevent the vehicle from bottoming out. The Firestone system can be leveled side to side...
