Those square spacers will be needed to install trailer hitch # 75876 because without them the bolts would just spin when you went to torque them down. Those blocks prevent that from happening. The blocks and bolts do go into the frame through the access holes on the frame rails using the fishwire technique. The Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness # 118467 will give you a 4-way trailer connector on the rear of your 2010 Subaru Forester. A 4-way connector will give you the three lighting functions (running, turn and brake lights) and the white wire is the ground wire. It does not have a wire to control the brakes.

The red wire battery connection is within the factory plug where trailer wiring harness # C56040 plugs into your 2012 Subaru Forester. So you would not have to run a wire manually since the factory wiring already has that connection. It looks like our installer attached the support strap to something in the vicinity of the anti-sway bar. It doesn't really matter what it is attached to as long as it is a solid structure that won't be damaged when supporting the weight of the exhaust.
The strap is supporting the exhaust once it is lowered. It isn't hanging just resting on the support strap. This would not put undue stress on the exhaust manifold.

Yes, the rear bumper fascia must be trimmed to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76182. This is the drawback of the hidden cross tube design. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76182 will use the same mounting holes as the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 36523. However, you cannot use the same fasteners that you have now as they are different sizes (1/2" vs 7/16") and the fasteners are torque to yield which means they must be discarded after the initial torque. You are going to have to use a circuit tester like the part # PTW2993 to test the wires that feed into the brake switch to determine which is the correct wire to use. We haven't had the chance to install a controller on a Forester like yours so we don't have that info for you but testing the wires is pretty easy. We have heard that it's a red and white wire so start there.

The product is designed and tested with placement on the inside; that is not say that you personally can't be comfortable with the way you have loaded the kayaks. I have a solution for you, but the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack # Y02443 should not be used with any kind of hitch extender or hitch adapter. These are guidelines per Yakima for the HoldUp bike rack.

I can confirm for you that you do not need to enlarge any holes in the frame of your 2019 Subaru Forester in order to install either of the Draw-Tite trailer hitches that fit your vehicle:

If you're speaking of the # D13021 Hyper Cool Remote cooler with fan, yes the fan can also be mounted upside down. It IS a remote fan and doesn't need to be directly in the wind generated by the vehicle driving down the road, but it will need access to airflow it can pull across the coils. For example you wouldn't want to install in in a confined space.

When installing The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2 inch # e83ZR onto your vehicle you do have to remove the 4 heat shield attachments and remove the underbody panel but you will attach it back on after. It usually a good idea to have an extra set of hands when installing a hitch like the Draw-Tite # DT82QR (and most hitches for that matter), so you'll likely need to find someone to give you a hand. If you're still unable to get it installed, you can try some other things. You can use a ratchet strap to keep the hitch pulled up while you attach the bolts.
