You will need a few different items to add a 7-way trailer connector to your 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe because Hyundai did not offer a factory connection for a 7-way trailer connector, only for a 4-way.
If your Santa Fe was pre-wired for the factory tow package, then the first item that you will want is the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness, # C56332. This will add a 4-way flat trailer connector. I have attached an installation video for you to check out.
Next, you will need our Universal... view full answer...
On a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe, when installing Curt trailer hitch # C13073, you will need to trim the heat shield under the vehicle. Technically, you could just fold the area of the shield that would interfere out of the way but this might make installation more difficult. The bumper does not have to be trimmed and you cannot see the heat shield unless under the vehicle. I have linked a video showing an installation of the hitch and it also shows trimming the heat shield.

On the # ETBC7 for the 12 volt circuit (black wire) you will use the 40 amp circuit breaker and the included wire. The 20 and 30 amp circuit breakers are for a different application and you will not need them for the RF, # TK94FR. The 12 volt circuit on a 7-Way can maintain a charge level on a battery but it cannot charge it up. There is too much distance and not enough amperage to push a charging current to the battery.
I recommend using a separate battery charger like # CTEK56674 to... view full answer...

The WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflectors for your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, part # WT82725 for Dark Tinting or part # WT72725 for Light Tinting, do not include adhesive for the rear deflectors. Some model deflectors for other vehicles do use adhesives on the rear pieces but they are not needed for your Hyundai Santa Fe. The deflectors will securely attach inside the window channel without the need for any tape. view full answer...
Great question!
The Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack # SA805BL has been confirmed by Saris to fit your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. The only note they have about the installation though is to make sure the lower feet are placed into the license plate well as opposed to on your bumper.
With that being said, trunk mount bike racks can damage spoilers if they are loaded to their max and/or used a lot. Since these types of racks are also touching the paint on the body of your vehicle I tend to lean towards... view full answer...
In order to use the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 on your 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56332, I recommend using the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L instead of the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole part # 37185 becuase this kit comes with the power wire that you need to run to the vehcile's battery to power the Curt Echo. There will not be any wires run into the cab... view full answer...
The instructions for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13152 on a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe don't indicate trimming for the driver side underbody panel but as you have come to find out as well as I, it does not go back into place easily. I have trimmed out two notches for the bolts in the past, there isn't a template for this, just hold the panel up where it goes and make a mark where the bolts come into contact then you can simply remove the material and reinstall. view full answer...
Your weld nut issue is a very common problem when installing a hitch on a vehicle that has had a few years on it. The solution is the thread tap like you mentioned. Just pick the correct size tap and take your time with it and you'll be totally fine.
I have included a few links on hitch installation tips, cleaning weld nuts, and a video on cleaning weld nuts for you. view full answer...
Any local shop will be able to easily install a trailer hitch receiver on your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe without a problem. We do not have a list of shops that we recommend so you will either want to go to one that you do business with or call around and check prices for an install. In all honesty none of the hitch receiver options for your Santa Fe are very hard to install so if you are fairly confident in working on vehicles it will be fairly easy.
I do recommend installing a hitch that... view full answer...

The clamps that are the best fit are clamp 1 and 3. It doesn't matter which one you utilize as the top or bottom. You will have to take one foam pad off number 5 or 6 and put on either 1 or 3.
The number 1 clamp you may need to bend out just a tad so your Yakima bar has a more snug fit.
With that said, you will be good to go. view full answer...
That's a really good question, but the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 will absolutely not fall out of the 7-way on your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe.
There are a couple of reasons for this, starting with the fact that the connection between the controller and 7-way is really tight; you have to give it a good push to make sure it's all the way in the connector.
The other reason has to do with the tab on top of the Echo; part of the tab is silicone-coated to absorb vibration... view full answer...
From the research I did the easiest way to determine if you have a tow package would be to check to see if your 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe has a transmission cooler mounted in front of the radiator. A transmission cooler looks basically like a miniature radiator that will be mounted in front of the radiator.
If your vehicle has a transmission cooler then you know it has a tow package. You can also look under the driver side wheel well to see if the connections are there. Check out the video... view full answer...
For any of the available trailer hitches for a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, including Draw-Tite Hitch, # 75684, the receiver opening and part of the cross tubing will be visible beneath the vehicle. This is because the required attachment points on the vehicle require that type of design. I have included a link to the installation details for this hitch.
If you plan on doing some towing, the recommended ball mount is # C45010 along with a pin and clip # PC3 for use with ball # 19260 (1-7/8 inch... view full answer...
Yes the Swagman XTC-2 TILT # S64671 that you referenced can transport bikes with slanted top tubes like you mentioned which are common on womens style bike frames. The hook will slide down pretty far on the mast and secure to the bike frame.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13152 is a confirmed fit for your 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. This hitch will install below the bumper of your vehicle so the cutout is not necessary for this fit. You will need to remove your spare tire temporarily for this installation. I've attached a video to assist.
If you will be using this hitch for towing, I recommend using the Curt Wiring Harness # C56184. This harness plugs into your Hyundai Santa Fe's wiring harness, which is located... view full answer...
With your lift gate open you should be able to look in the threshold near the hinge and you will see a black conduit wire loom that has wire in it. If you trace where this wire loom goes you should be able to remove interior components to get to an area of your vehicle that would allow for you to access the wires easily.
Once you get to the wires you will want to test them with a circuit tester like our part # 40376 to determine which carries voltage when the reverse lights are on and... view full answer...

You're correct, the Draw-Tite # 75776 hitch uses M10 x 1.25 x 30 bolts to attach the hitch to the nuts welded into the frame.
It's extremely rare that the wrong hardware is sent out with a hitch, I've only seen it happen once or twice in almost 15 years here. It's certainly a possibility but what's much more likely is that you have road grime and corrosion built up on the threads of the nuts that are welded up into the frame member which is preventing the threads from catching. This is... view full answer...
