  • Front Hitch Recommendation for a 2003 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton Truck
  • Between the two hitches the one that is confirmed to fit your 2003 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton truck would be the # 31108. The # 31302 that you also referenced is designed to fit only the 1500 LD models so it wouldn't be the correct hitch for you. That is the difference between the two part numbers.

  • Hitch Ball Recommendation for a 2006 GMC Sierra Bumper
  • All bumper ball holes are 3/4 of an inch, so you will need to pick a ball with a 3/4 inch shank diameter. The ball you were looking at, part # 63845, is a 1 inch shank diameter so it wouldn't work for you. If you need a 2 inch hitch ball you would want part # A-82. If you need a 1-7/8 inch ball, you would use part # A-80. Those are our only stainless hitch balls with a 3/4 inch shank. Please note that the A-80 has a capacity of 2,000 pounds whereas A-82 has a capacity of 3,500 pounds.

  • How to Pick Out a Sidewinder Pin Box for a Columbus 340rk Trailer
  • There should be a Sidewinder that would work on your Columbus 340rk. You will need to determine what pin box came originally on your trailer so that you can pick out the correct Sidewinder to replace it. There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer. Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin...

  • What Should High Pressure Alarm Of TST TPMS for RVs TST-507-FT-4-C Be Set At For ST235/80R16 Tires?
  • You should air the tires up to the max PSI rating stamped on the sidewall of your tires, which in your case is 95 PSI as you mentioned. Trailer tires have a different sidewall construction compared to standard vehicle tires, and running less than the max air pressure causes the tire to build up excess heat. Since heat is the main enemy of tires you want to do everything you can to avoid heat. When setting the high pressure warning of the TST TPMS for RVs - Color Display - Signal Booster...

  • Would Tonneau Cover from Dodge Dakota Fit 2011 GMC Sierra Short Bed
  • Tonneau cover fits are very specific. They typically only fit the same model and make of truck for a few years and require a new fit when there's a generation change. Also a Dakota is a mid sized truck and a Sierra is a full sized truck so one cover would not be able to fit both. For a similar Access tonneau cover to the one you referenced that does fit your 2011 GMC Sierra 6-1/2 foot bed you'd want the # A22020289.

  • How to Tell the Difference Between a 2004 GMC 1500HD and 1500LD
  • If your 2004 GMC Sierra is a 1500HD it will have a badge on the side of the truck that says 1500HD. If it is an LD model it won't have anything on the side of it. You can also call a GMC dealer in your area with the VIN of your truck and they will be able to tell. If you do have an HD model you would want the Draw-Tite part # 65028 as a front hitch, or if you have an LD model you would want the Curt part # 31302.

  • Take a look at part # 6495-401-04. This hook has a working load limit up to 5,400 lbs and the pin that connects through the chain is 7/16 of an inch in diameter. The Curt Clevis Hook, # C81970, has a 40,000 lb weight capacity and the pin that connects through the chain is just over half of an inch (.52 inches) in diameter. • Weight Distribution Recommendation for a 2012 GMC Sierra Towing a 2016 Shasta Oasis 18BH
  • The general rule with weight distribution is that if the gross trailer weight is at least 50 percent of the vehicle weight then weight distribution is recommended. Or if the vehicle sags with the trailer connected or sway is an issue then it is also recommended. Weight distribution is a good investment though and it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. For example, Pro Series system # PS49901 is rated for up to 550 pounds tongue weight and comes with sway control and a good price. Considering...

  • Roof Rack For 2010 GMC Sierra with Camper Shell
  • I have a solution for you. However, we do not carry traditional ladder racks designed to fit over camper shells. To carry bikes and kayaks over your camper shell, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System # Y02-490B. This rack will mount to the roof of your camper shell. It is important to remember that the weight capacity of the rack will be dependent on the weight capacity of your camper shell. When choosing bike racks and kayak carriers, it is important to keep in mind the size and...

  • What is the Warranty of the Tekonsha Circuit Tester # 8010
  • The Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Circuit Tester # 8010 that you referenced has a limited 1-year warranty that basically covers manufacturer defects. Tekonsha would be the one who would fix the unit in the unlikely event it malfunctioned. It is hard to say how long they would take but I imagine they would get it back to you as soon as possible. We have yet to hear a negative thing about the # 8010 so I would safely assume customers are happy with it. This should help you with testing all the...

  • Mounting Location for Air Tank and Compressor for Air Bag Suspension on 2012 GMC Sierra 2500HD
  • When the # F2239 is installed, the air tank is typically installed under the vehicle, along one of the frame members. The compressor is best located under the hood, although you can mount it along the frame members if necessary. If you want the compressor tied into the air bag system, along with having in-cab control, I would recommend using the Air Lift Air Helper Springs, part # AL57338 along with the Air Lift Quick Shot Compressor System, part # AL25690. The Air Lift springs are very...

  • Recommended Maintenance for 2003 Alpenlite 5th Wheel Trailer
  • Your Dexter NevRLube bearings will save you some of the mess of annual trailer maintenance but there are still other parts of your Alpenlite that require/deserve your attention for both safety reasons and to ensure you have as much hassle-free fun as possible when on the road. First and foremost are your tires. UV rays can really do a number on rubber and other materials in your RV. Your tires will last longer if you can protect them from the sun as much as possible. Tire covers used during...

  • Converter Box to Go From Separate Turn Signal Circuits on 2005 GMC Sierra to Combined
  • A 2005 GMC Sierra has it's turn signals on a separate bulb from the stoplights at the assemblies. So to convert this signal so that the stop and turn signals are on the same circuit like what trailer wiring uses you'd need a converter box like # RM-732. You'd run the red wire to the stoplight circuit and then the green and yellow to the circuits you have already ran wires to and you'd be set.

  • Will Curt Safety Chains/Cables Hold Up Well to Salt Spray for Snowmobile Trailer
  • Curt safety cables # C80176 would do fairly well for applications subjected to salt spray since the cables are coated in nylon and the hooks are zinc-coated. They wouldn't be as good as 100% stainless steel, if anyone made any, but they also cost a fraction of the price stainless would!
