Hitch Ball Recommendation for a 2006 GMC Sierra Bumper
Question:
I need to know what 2 in. Ball will fit on bumper hole on my 2006 GMC Sierra. Does the shank need to be a 2 in?

All bumper ball holes are 3/4 of an inch, so you will need to pick a ball with a 3/4 inch shank diameter. The ball you were looking at, part # 63845, is a 1 inch shank diameter so it wouldn't work for you.
If you need a 2 inch hitch ball you would want part # A-82. If you need a 1-7/8 inch ball, you would use part # A-80. Those are our only stainless hitch balls with a 3/4 inch shank. Please note that the A-80 has a capacity of 2,000 pounds whereas A-82 has a capacity of 3,500 pounds.
