For a stainless steel hitch pin I recommend the Master Lock Pivot Lock Hitch Pin for 2" Hitches - 5/8" Diameter - Stainless Steel # ML1465DAT.
The Master Lock pin is really nice because it doesn't need a separate clip, it has a rotating barrel at the end which you turn to keep the clip securely in place.
For a hitch pin and clip with a rubber grip the best option is the Curt Pin and Clip For Class III, IV and V Trailer Hitch Receiver with Rubberized Plastic Grip # C21510.

It sounds like you are asking about the length of the pin and clip that will go through you ball mount that is used to hang it from the # S80940. A lot of people confuse the terms ball mount and receiver.
This actually does not come with a pin and clip. You would need to use any of the pin and clips that are designed to fit 2 inch hitches such as the # PC3. This pin and clip is 5-1/8 inches.
I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well. view full answer...
I'm not 100 percent sure what you mean by "latch pin or something" but I am assuming you mean a pin and clip, and we do have one that is 1/2" diameter and 4" long, the Curt Class I and II Pin and Clip # F-4.
This pin and clip is a total of 4" long overall with a 2-1/2" long straight pin. The 1/2" diameter is standard for a hitch pin and clip for a 1-1/4" receiver so the straight part of these is not going to be as long.
If you were looking for a hitch lock the longest with a 1/2" diameter... view full answer...
I went out to the warehouse and pulled a set of the Hidden Hitch fifth wheel replacement pins # 6014 that you referenced and the measurement from the inner edge of the clip grove to the bend in the pin is 3-1/4 inches. This measurement is what is considered the useable length, where as the length from the outer edge of the clip to the bend is 3-3/4 inches. view full answer...
I went out to the warehouse and pulled Replacement Hitch Bolt and Clip # Y8890200 to measure it. From under the bolt head to the end of the pin it measures 4-1/4 inches. And to the center of where the clip would go it measures 3-9/16 inches. If it is not long enough to be able to put the clip on the end of the pin it is actually still permissible to use the pin. As long as it is properly tightened down you do not have to put the clip on. The clip is a fail safe. view full answer...
The Hitch Pin and Clip For 2-1/2" and 3" Hitches # 337HP6256WC doesn't have a weight rating, but this is normal for a pin setup. These are tested to hold the weight ratings of the hitches they are made for so as long as you're staying within the weight limits of your hitch and ball mount you'll be good to go! view full answer...

Hitch pins are not given weight ratings because they are built with such extreme weight bearing capabilities that the trailer hitch, ball mount or trailer coupler is more likely to fail than the hitch pin.
Most Class IV trailer hitches have a maximum towing capacity of 12,000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 1,000 lbs. Before you tow your horse trailer, you will also want to verify the towing capacity of your tow vehicle. There are instances where a Class IV hitch is available for... view full answer...
Roadmaster hitch pins like # RM-316 and # RM-910034 are both rated for 10,000lbs. The GenY hitch pins like the # 325-GH-099 are rated for 32,000lbs. If you were using the # RM-316 the only way the lock would fall off is if it wasn't properly seated on the hitch pin when installed. If you were using the # RM-910034 the hitch pin clip could've came off. The GenY hitch pin clips wrap down for a bit of extra protection from coming off unlike the Roadmaster hitch pin clips. I went out into our warehouse and measured the threads of the Replacement Threaded Hitch Pin and Clip # P5902 and found them to be 1/2 inch diameter coarse thread. The version of this bolt that is designed for 2 inch hitches is the Swagman Threaded Hitch Pin part # P5901. This will not fit on 1-1/4 inch shank Swagman racks with 2 inch adapter sleeves though. view full answer...

When we installed the Curt # 13364 on a 2014 Grand Caravan, we found that the receiver was recessed under the vehicle so that there was four inches between the hitch pin hole and the furthest rearward point of the back bumper.
According to Curt, the receiver tube on the Curt Class II # C12264 is of the same length as the 13364, so it should also be recessed by 4 inches.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness, part # C56331, a ball mount, a... view full answer...

The Flash E Series Adjustable 2-Ball Mount, Item # FA42-00-2600, has a distance from center of hitch pin hole to center of hitch ball of 8-1/2 inches. Another measurement to consider is the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright bar which is 4-1/2 inches.
The Flash E Series does not come with a pin and clip so if you need one I recommend the Draw-Tite Pin and Clip, Item # PC3.
