Unfortunately, the Superchips Flashpaq F5 Pro Custom Performance Tuner - Gas/Diesel # SU1545 requires uploading custom tunes to the device and transferring it to the vehicle in order to gain extra horsepower. If you have a 2001 Ford F-250 Chassis with 2011 Ford F-250 Bed then the location of the hitch ball for the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1108 which is designed for the 2001 Ford F-250 Chassis most likely won't match up with the 2011 Ford F-250 Bed. In general terms, when you have a red wire on a 7 way connector it is typically going to be the left hand brake and turn signals. With that being said, it's probably more important to note where it is connected since this will determine what it is used for. They told me that the tuner is not designed to lower the speed limit of your vehicle. When routing the wiring for the Truck Bed Cargo Camera for 8" Factory Monitor # 3460006 you should be able to run it inside the trim that runs from the roof to your dash. Whenever we route wiring on any vehicle this is typically a safe place to run it.

My contact at AirLift confirmed that if your existing 5th wheel installation hardware is 3/4-inch diameter rather than the 1/2-inch supplied with the AirLift kit, you can simply drill out the holes in the AirLift brackets so they will accept the larger hardware in place from your 5th wheel installation.

The one really big downside to gooseneck towing is that there isn't a great solution for short bed truck clearance unlike fifth wheel towing. With fifth wheel hitches you can use a slider hitch and have the clearance issue handled. With gooseneck towing there isn't really anything you can do. The only way it's possible is if the nose of the gooseneck trailer is tapered to help with the turning clearance.

With the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug # HM40157 connected to your 1999 Ford F-250, you can still run the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 without additional splicing. There isn't a specific product for this application but you could splice into your trailer wiring harness to provide power for your backup camera. The best solution for you on this is going to be to splice into the running light circuit on the 7 way connector, so that all you'll have to do is turn the lights on the truck on in order to activate the camera; using the 12v aux circuit would draw power from the battery constantly and likely drain the battery.

The mounting brackets that join your existing gooseneck hitch to the truck frame are sitting right where the fifth wheel install brackets would need to install, so unfortunately there's no getting around the fact that you wouldn't be able to install both hitches on your truck.

The reason to install steel plate to enclose an I-beam trailer frame to allow use of a weight distribution hitch's lift brackets is that this method makes for easier replacement of a bracket should one fail. If you directly weld the modified lift bracket to the I-beam then you will have a tougher time of removing it should it ever fail.
