I have a solution for you, but the Curt # 13368 is not the hitch you're looking for since it's designed to fit on the Ford F-150. You're going to need to add a trailer hitch and a wiring harness to the 2013 Ford Escape to tow that trailer. Of the available hitches I like the etrailer.com hitch, part # E98866, because of the concealed crosstube and matte black finish. Both make the hitch less obvious. I have a solution that would work well with your idea of creating a bracket but no there are no light kits made specifically for the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack item # HLY84FR. If you were able to make your tee shaped structure you could attach the Lets Go Aero LED Light Kit for GearCage4 and BigBoss Railed Cargo Carriers item # H01540 lights to it.
