Adam: Hi, everyone, Adam, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at some Rumber 12-inch wheel chocks. So these are just going to be a recycled rubber and plastic chock. And it's just going to be a pretty symmetrical chock as well, some rigid size to help keep that traction. And they are going to come in either a single pair of one with a little loop on the end, or we will have a pair of two that'll come with either a three foot chain or a five foot chain.So I really don't have to go over what a wheel chock will really do. You guys know, it just makes your stuff not roll.

We do have an 8-inch one, which would be great for our smaller trailers and stuff like that, whether it's a boat or even just a truck, just to make sure if you're on an incline and you don't necessarily like your transmission holding all that weight.These 12-inches though, I do believe are going to be still for your single wheel trailers on each side, but it's just going to give you a little bit more surface area. So if you're parking your RV or truck on a not concrete ground, let's just say on a campsite and it's a little soggy, having a little bit more surface area might prevent this thing from sagging down into the ground, and then it's not really going to do as much as it would, obviously if it's on top.So with this, I do think that's what it's really going to get you in comparing it with the 8 inch chocks that we do have available here as well.So you guys may be using other random items, like a piece of wood to chock your tire, or even a brick or even just a simple 4x4. So whether this is just going to be your replacement to a non-chock, or if it's just going to maybe be an upgrade from the other chocks that you have.Some of these, I mean, as you can see, it does have a little bit of grip, it's made of a little bit harder plastic, but there are some stress marks here. So over time I do think this thing might actually maybe even just kind of crush in and then this thing might splinter and hit your tires.I think that's one of the reasons why I would choose the rubber chocks just because they're made of recycled rubber and plastic. So it's pretty much going to be the same texture as your tires.

So it's not going to be harder or more abrasive and it's not going to splinter like that.Also, it is extremely symmetrical. So it is really, really stationary on the ground. With this one we don't have the back half here kind of just drops off. So if you really are putting this thing to the test and it doesn't break, honestly, it might end up rolling over. With this one, it's again, just the triangle symmetrical.

I don't think it's going to actually tip over like that.So I definitely gonna say it is an upgrade to one of these and definitely an upgrade to this. So whether you guys are just chocking up your RV or camper here, or if you're actually using it to use your fifth wheel slider.Also, even if you have a construction trailer car, or even you want to take all that stress and strain off your transmission, if your truck with your trailer's on an incline, I do think that these are definitely going to get the job done.Honestly, anything that's going to go under the tire is going to help prevent them rolling over. But I definitely think that these are going to do a lot better than some of the alternatives. We do have a lot of different sizes and orientation. So what we're going to do, so we're going to go inside, go over all those back for you and then come back out and go over some details.So these are all the wheel chocks that Rumber does have at etrailer that we have available.

There's going to be different sizes and of course, variations as well. We're going to have the 8-inch chocks, we're going to have the 12-inch chocks. We're going to have the 16-inch chocks. And of course the big old 20-inch chocks.We are going to have, obviously just the ones in the single, it's going to have a little loop on one side, but then all of them are going to come with the variations of either a 3 foot chain in between two of them or a 5 foot chain in between both of them. So it really just depends on what equipment you guys are working with for your single tire, smaller trailers. I do think we can get away with the 8-inch chock.With the 12-inch chock it is going to be for maybe those wider tires on those single tire trailers that you guys may have. And then we'll have the big 16s. This is when we kind of get into the Dually type trailers or campers, whatever you may be storing somewhere and you need them not to roll, obviously.And then of course we have the big boys, the big 20-inches, and these are mainly going to be for your massive Dually trailers. Maybe you're even just at a campsite with an RV and you're not on concrete or gravel. So you're going to see a lot of sinkage. So with this, we're just going to have a lot more surface area to be able to put on the ground. So they're not going to sink.There was a couple of times where I saw a couple of chocks that we're kind of sunk into the ground on a construction site. And I do believe that these will give you more surface area and prevent that from happening.But at the end of the day, it all just depends on what equipment you guys have. And that will determine what chocks you need. But today we're going to be focusing solely on the assortments of 12-inch chocks.So again, these wheel chocks are going to be made of recycled plastic and rubber tires. So you can ensure it's not going to damage your tires. And also when you buy something like this, I know I always just feel good knowing that it's recycled.But one thing that you guys are wondering is the smell, a lot of the rubber products, you can actually get kind of a really intense rubber smell, with this one it really isn't that really intense, rubber smell. It just honestly smells like recycled plastic and tires. So it's not necessarily the worst smell in the world. And I don't think it's really going to stink up wherever you place it whenever you're not using them.Also, the nice thing about this material is it's not going to absorb any of those fluids. Brake fluid is extremely corrosive and it's not going to soak all that up. It's not going to soak up any gas, diesel, or any type of oils. And of course, it's not going to get water logged too.Another thing that I liked just compared to some others, it actually just has these steps here, just so whenever you start to roll on it, it's really going to put that downward force onto the chock itself. And with that and the textured bottom, I don't really think you're going to see any sliding here.So if you're going with the single one, obviously just put it in your tires up against there. But to be honest, if I we're to buy some chocks, I might as well buy two. So if you get the one with the three foot chain, it's going to be ideal for just putting it around one tire, just like that.And another nice thing about these is you don't have to grab one single one on the front and back on one side and then go grab two other chocks. With this it's going to be a lot easier to carry four of them. So I would definitely recommend getting ones with the chains.And also if you're one of those that like to put one on the front of the back and one on the back of the back tire here, the five foot chain would be great for that. But depending on what kind of climate you guys are dealing with, it's kind of cold here and these chains are actually kind of cold on my hands. So some people have been just buying two of the singles here.So they do come with a little loop and you can just put rope or synthetic rope of some sort on there to connect them up. So you can still get the benefits of having the easy way to transport them and also just take them out really quickly. But also it'll be a little bit easier on your hands.So regardless of what size you guys go with, they are all going to have the same height and width. The width here is going to be about 7 3/4 inches. And the height here is going to be about 4 3/4 inches. All in all, in my opinion, if you guys are looking for a chock, if you guys don't have an actual chock, definitely recommend grabbing one.And if you really want one that's going to look professional and really, really do the job, I do think that these are going to be one of the best ones you can buy, just the way that they're constructed. And in my opinion, I just like the fact that they're recycled.The 12-inch chocks are going to be ideal just for your single wheeled vehicles or RVs, boat trailers, whatever it may be. These aren't going to really be ideal for those Dually setups that you have. We have other sizes for that, but when it comes to the 12-inch, if you're in between the 12-inch and the 8-inch, I think it all just depends on where you guys plan on chocking your stuff.Really the more surface area, if you're going to be on construction sites. So you don't have these things sinking into that soft ground whenever you're working in all that dirt. I do think these will get you more surface area. So if that's the case, go with the 12, but if you just plan on just putting it on your RV and it's going to be on concrete, you could probably get away with the 8-inch. Again, these we're the rubber recycled plastic and rubber wheel chocks.
