Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Pacer Performance High Five LED truck cab light kit. It's going to come with everything you see laid out here on the table, and this is basically going to give us that big rig look for our truck, even if we don't already have those lights. These are styled after the 1999 through 2016 Ford factory Super Duty trucks that have the high five or those lights up in the top of the cab. In addition to looking cool, they also help you to stay more visible, even in inclement weather so other trucks can see you out on the road, especially in areas where there's a lot of fog, mist, rain, snow, things like that.
It just helps to keep us more visible while we're out there driving.With our five lights, we're also going to have the little gasket to provide some water protection so we don't get any water coming down into our headliner on our truck. The thing that I would note right off the bat with this is that you do have to make some modifications to whatever vehicle you're adding this to. You do you have to do some drilling, so keep that in mind.Each light will take three holes, two for the studs, and then one for the wiring to drop down through. I'm going to go ahead and hook up one of our lights. It comes with the LEDs to make the connection.
It also comes with the amber incandescent bulbs, as well. You don't really need them for this kit since if it comes with the LEDs, but if you wanted to use them for something else, of course you can. They're going to be a T10-194 style bulb. It's actually pretty common in a lot of other applications anywhere that uses a little wedge style light. These LEDs are also in that same style to fit in the socket.I'm going to connect my power to the red wire.
Ground goes to the black wire with the ring terminal. Turn on my power source here. If your light doesn't come on at first, you might need to switch it around. They are polarity sensitive. Take that out.
Turn it the other way. Pop that back in. Try it again. There we go. It's always a good idea to check that before you actually get this installed, just so you don't have to take everything apart to get that light changed out.You can remove this bolt to take the lens off, if you want. It does make it a little bit easier, as far as checking that later on. I'm going to turn the lights out in the studio so you can get an idea of how bright this is, even in low light situations. It's not going to be terribly bright. It's not going to illuminate the night or anything. It's just there to give you a little bit better visual as you're out on the road. I can really only light up one at a time with my setup, so you have to just use your imagination for all five being lit up. This is the smoke lens, so it's a little bit darker than the clear lens, and you can also find. It does also come in amber, which is the more traditional look, as well. You can find both of those variants here at etrailer.com, if you would rather check those out.Again, as far as our install, we do have to do some drilling to get everything installed. You'll also have to drop down your headliner so that you can get the hardware in place. It takes some nuts to thread that in place and get it stabilized. One thing to note there with the wiring, it comes with these quick splice connectors. Normally, I warn people off of these, but in this case with the way the install goes, it actually will be just fine. Since these are going to be living inside the vehicle, you don't really have to worry about any kind of water protection. You're going to be splicing this in with your bulk wire, so your bulk wire's going to go in one line and then each of your lights need to splice into it. Quick splices actually do a pretty good job of making that a little bit simpler to do.It comes with enough to do that, also comes with a switch so we can bypass our factory lighting system. We don't have to worry about cutting into our factory wiring, voiding any warranties, and causing any issues with that. It is also going to be fuse protected. We'll have this little inline fuse that goes in the back of the switch, so we don't have to worry about any shorts from our vehicle to the lights or anything like that. The power source will be off the battery or maybe off of a fuse, if you want to go that route.A pretty complete kit, it is going to last a long time with those LED bulbs. We won't really have to worry about changing that out anytime soon. That's definitely an advantage over the incandescent bulbs that it does come with. It does meet SAE specifications. As far as the size of each of our lights, you about four inches long by three inches wide at the widest point and about one and three quarter inches tall.That's pretty much going to do it for our look at the Pacer Performance High Five LED truck cab light kit for the Ford. Easy to install and look great. LEDS match LEDS on truck.
Have not installed them yet but everything looks good. Got here 2 days faster than expected.
Package arrived completely opened on one end, and the container a little tattered, but everything seems to be intact and complete!
fairly quick shipping..my truck has never had lights...but have installed them on every truck I've owned ( 4 ), This is my 5th. Everything was in the box. It even came with little washers for the screw heads. I used silicone just in case. I was very skeptical of the supplied ground wires but they all worked!!.. I decided on the old style bulbs this time. Might switch if they don't last then I will go to the LED's. I used a different toggle switch than the one supplied. Really like the set so far. I have never seen a truck like mine with cab lights. Maybe others will try it now?
Look good on the truck, one of the center lights became loose so it was not making great contact and therefore was out. I got it working again, but it was a hassle taking the light off the truck to just spin the light a little bit.
Great product, I replaced existing lights with these. Hole pattern was exactly the same as my old lights. I had two issues not related to the product. My old lights only had one wire through the cab. They had a jumper wire that went from bulb socket to mounting screw for the light.
As far as replacing existing lights goes, this product is great.
For a complaint, the instructions nor video showed me what the little rubber washers were for. Since there were 10 of these I assumed they were for the mounting screws. I used mine for lens cover screws.
I also used silicone under foam pad, on top of foam pad, on mounting screws, and after install was complete I added it at base of lens and around base of light. All not needed but cant hurt to keep water out.
Definitely reccomend this companies products.
One year on, these lights are holding up very well. Installation was pretty simple, I did have to break out a drill to enlarge the factory holes - I believe the factory lights used sheet metal screws to attach to the top of the cab through the lens and these use a metal stud attached to the light base with a nut that tightens from inside the cab (it's been a year and my memory is fuzzy). Outwards though these lights look completely stock. They sealed well and I've experienced no issues with water leaks. 100% suggest these to anyone wanting to replace or upgrade their stock lights to LED while retained the OE look.
Lights and everything arrived quickly, everything needed was in the packaging. The only thing I did differently was I wired the lights into my existing light switch instead of a separate switch, just bought 16 gauge wire from hardware store. I added some t10 LED lights which look awesome at night! During the day LED or incandescent bulbs are not very visible anyway. Overall awesome product!
The Pacer Performance High-5 lights on my 1992 Ford F350 are high quality. They fit the original screw holes perfectly. The LED lights are bright. The wire connectors were different, but that was no problem. I cut off the connectors and used crimp-on connectors, then taped the connections securely with electrical tape.
After reading not so good reviews on other cab lights I found these and saw nothing but good things about them and when I had them installed I was more than happy with them. I would recommend to anyone wanting to put cab lights on their truck
The cab lights I ordered came in a timely manner and they were oem quality!
They look great! Pretty simple install, everything you need is included and the easy splice makes it even easier to wire everything together. They give you 6, so I just used the last one to tap into my headlights and they turn on automatically whenever those are on. LED’s are pretty bright and that’s what I went with, but they also give you the classic bulbs to choose from as well. 4 stars for now just to see how they hold up!
The lights were purchased as replacement for the existing lights already on the truck, so all the hard work of drilling the holes and running the wiring was already done. What little installation I had to do was fairly easy, and simple. The lights match the originals exactly and you can't tell them apart from the old ones. The package was shipped promptly and arrived undamaged within a few days. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the order and I will be using your company for future purchases and I will definitely recommend your company to other people who need the type of things you supply.

Bought these lights about a year ago and they look and work great! The lighting makes a perfect red and they are very bright as well, but that can depend on the bulbs you decide to use. Easy installation too!
Great lights looks amazing on my GMC, i could not be happier. I had the installed as no one wants me wiring anything. The LED bulbs are nice and bright. I would recommend these lights to anyone.

Lights exactly as described. Package came with both LED bulbs and incandescent bulbs. Easy to install. I watched the installation video which was very helpful. I only installed 4 as my vintage truck has a middle rotating beacon.
The smoked lens look great! On my 2017 black 3500 RAM. Install took about 45 minutes. LED bulbs need to go the right way to work. Shipping was quick, and thanks to Jason and everyone at etrailer for making the ordering process easy.
Straightforward install. Worst part was dropping the headliner. Tapped into the power source at passenger side kick panel in my 97 Ford. Very happy with my purchase.
Had these lights on my truck for a year now and they work great the installation was pretty easy. I installed them on my ram 1500
These have only been on for a few days but they seem to be a very reliable option if your truck needs cab lights. Straight forward install and I was pleased to find out the bases and lenses are molded of a nice poly plastic. I was worried the bases would be weak and flimsy. I ordered two sets, one set for a 2000 f350 that never had cab lights, and a second set for a 2002 f350 that already had cab lights but were aged and weathered. I was able to get my drilling dimensions from one truck and just transfer over to the other. Simply dropped the headliner, marked my holes on masking tape, drilled holes, mounted lights, and ran wiring down to behind my headlight switch tapped into the running lights wire. I did go the extra mile and added some silicone around my bolt and wire holes for a little extra insurance prior to putting the headliner back in place. I was a little intimidated to start with but after all said and done I would have no issue doing this over again on multiple trucks. I'm not a professional mechanic by trade, just handy enough to do my own exhaust, stereo, and lighting installs as well as oil changes etc. These cab lights can be installed by novice wrench turners. etrailer does however need to update their website pictures though. The updated version of these lights have studs molded into the bases so they are held on by a nut and washer from inside the cab. The pictures on etrailer must be a previous version that were fastened by sheet metal style screws screwed in from the topside. Pacer Performance website shows the proper product, etrailer should make that a priority to follow suit and update their literature. The molded studs is a much better design! Kudos Pacer Performance!

Excellent product. Very good price. The replacement marker lights were almost an identical match to the original lights on my 1983 Ford F150. A very easy install. The truck looks great! Purchasing the lights on line with etrailer.com was a snap. I'm very happy so far with the service, product, and follow up.
