Lionshead Roadside Assistance Program

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.

1-Year No Excuses Guarantee

This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.

Steel Lug Nut Inserts

This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Castle Rock Radials

Castle Rock Tread Close-Up

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the tread on these Castle Rock radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Castle Rock tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Castle Rock radials are constructed with double steel belts and double nylon cords. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

  • What Cap Fits the Loadstar ST205/75R14 Trailer Tire # LH84VR?
I have a cap solution for you. Unfortunately, the Americana Trailer Wheel Center Cap w/ Plug - Chrome Plated # AM90195 will not fit the Castle Rock ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire with 14" Aluminum Wheel # LH84VR because the Americana cap is designed to fit a 3.33" pilot diameter. The wheel has a 3.19" pilot diameter. With that being said, a great alternative for a 5-bolt 3.19" pilot diameter wheel is the Lionshead Trailer Wheel Center Cap - 3.19" Pilot # LHCS102 along with the Snap-In...

The Castle Rock ST205/75R14 Radial Tire w/ 14" Condor Aluminum Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR C - Gunmetal # LH84VR has a 0 offset which is the case for most trailer wheels. If the offset is not listed on the product page, then it is safe to assume it will be 0.

  • Will 14 Inch Wheels and Tires Fit an Aluma Motorcycle Trailer
The 4.80 x 12 trailer tires you have now are 20.7" diameter x 4.9" wide. The smallest available tire we have for a 14" wheel is a 205/75-14 which measures 26.3" diameter x 8.1" wide. Therefore, you most likely won't be able to fit this size tire on your Aluma Motorcycle Trailer without modifications. That said, if the reason that you would like to go with a larger tire is for a higher speed rating I do have an option for you in the Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire part # TT48012C...

  • Can a 205/75-14 Size Tire Fit on a Wheel with a 6 Lug Bolt Pattern
The 205/75-14 tire and wheel combo you looked at, part # LH84VR, is a 14-inch wheel and we do not have any 14-inch wheels with a 6-lug bolt pattern. The closes we have is a 205/75-15 size tire on a similar looking wheel that has a 6 on 5/1/2 bolt pattern, part # TA23MR. The larger tire is about 1/4 inch wider and almost 3/4 of an inch taller.

Caslte Rock ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire with 14" Aluminum Wheel # LH84VR will need to be inflated to 50 psi to reach the maximum capacity of 1,760 pounds. If under inflated the tire could generate excessive heat and cause damage to the tire. This wheel uses 1/2"-20 lug nuts and since it is a 14 inch aluminum wheel you will torque the lug nuts to 75-85 foot pounds.

  • What Tire Pressure Should the Castle Rock LH84VR be Run At?
Tire pressure will depend on the load range of the tire. The Castle Rock ST205/75R14 Radial Tire # LH84VR has a load range C, which will have a capacity of 1,760 pounds at 50 psi. The tire should be run at the max psi listed for said tire. As to the temperature of the tires, typical tires experience a temperature increase of roughly 50 degrees after running on the highway for half an hour. If it's a 70 degree day, the tire temperature should be about 120 degrees. That being said, tires...

I also verified the load range and bolt pattern for you as well, so you are good to go. If you don't already have a spare wheel/tire mount, the Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier part # FHDSTC0101 is what I recommend.
