Fit and Compatibility of Changing Tire and Wheel Combination Size on My Trailer

Question:

I have a shorelandr trailer with ST 185/80R13. I am looking to move up to this 14inch wheel and rim combo. Will this work? Thank you

If your current tire and wheel combinations is 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern and you have sufficient room under your fenders, then the Kenda # LH84VR you were looking at would work for your Shorelander Trailer. You will also want to make sure that the capacity is the same or higher for the weight of your trailer.

The Castle Rock tire and wheel combination is going to be 1.65 inches in additional overall diameter from your current 188/80R13 and .82 inches wider. I recommend measuring the space you have available to make sure a wider tire will fit. Generally speaking, you will want to have 3 inches from the top of your tire to the fender of your trailer to accommodate for suspension travel. Having a little more wouldn't hurt, but I wouldn't recommend any less than 3 inches.
