Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Americana steel mod trailer wheel. Now this wheel is made with a sturdy steel construction. It's a nice durable design. It's very strong and dependable, has a galvanized finish on it, which provides superior protection from rust and corrosion. Nice galvanized finish all the way around, and it is the modular design. The mod design is simply these holes that go around the wheel, so it's a mod design instead of a spoke or a solid wheel design.
That gives the wheel a really nice look and just overall really nice style for this unit.The high quality wheel meets Department of Transportation specifics. When it comes to the dimensions of the wheel, it's a 16" diameter. Now, the diameter is measured from bead seat to bead seat, so from this point here straight across to this point here. That's a 16" diameter, and then the width is 6" on this unit. That's measured from bead seat to bead seat as well, so from this point here straight across to this point here, 6" wide.The bolt pattern on the unit is 6 on 5 1/2", so that means that we have 6 lug holes.
Since it's an even number, to get the measurement you just pick one and measure from the center of one directly across to the center of the other, and that's 5 1/2". Again bolt pattern is 6 on 5 1/2", uses a wheel bolt size of 1/2" by 20. The pilot hole diameter . That's the diameter of the hole here at the center, that's 4.27". This hole right here is the whole for the valve stem.
When it comes to the capacity of this wheel, that's 3,050 pounds. That's going to do it for today's look at the Americana steel mod trailer wheel.

Great looking and love the anti-rust qualities of galvanize. This is my spare and my previous steel wheel is so rusted I am afraid to use it.

Able to match existing rims, fast delivery and great communication with Customer service to find correct bolt pattern and style,
Poorly executed product and delivery. Wheels are only powder coated on the face so the back of the wheels are free to rust. Wheels are advertised as powder coated. They should specify face only. The pictures in the listing show powder coat all over. Next thing is the packing. Someone thought is was a good idea to stick 2 40lb pieces of metal in the same box with nothing to protect them from each other or from outside impacts. Wheels have chips in what little powder coat there is and have flat spots around the circumference of all wheels. Very disappointed. Wish I could return and take my money elsewhere but I've heard negative stories about etrailer customer service. I'm not sure it's worth my time.
These 13" steel wheels were the perfect solution to upgrade my original , white, 12" trailer wheels from 1979. The 4 on 4 bolt pattern in 13" is just what I was looking for and only etrailer could provide it.

Great upgrade. Pulled the trailer half dozen times with these tires and wheels. No longer worried about blowouts with the Sailun tires. Sway has been reduced dramatically. Especially notable on windy days.
