Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a U-bolt plate. Now, this plate is used with U-bolts to secure an axle to leaf springs, which are mounted to the trailer frame. This attaches with two 5/8 inch diameter round U-bolts. U-bolts are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. It fits round trailer axles with a 4 inch diameter. We can tell that by simply taking the measurement between our holes edge to edge and that gives us that 4 inch span.
It's designed for use with 9,000 pound dexter axles. Works with 2 inch wide leaf springs. It's made form a durable steel construction and already has the necessary holes pre-made into the plate. Taking a look at the overall measurements of the unit real quick, going edge to edge it gives us a measurement of 7-3/4 inches. Edge to edge going this direction, it gives us a measurement of 4-1/2 inches.
That's going to do it for today's look at the U-bolt plate.
