With the SuperHitch Original's 2 receivers, you can tow a trailer and carry a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier at the same time. And if you have a truck bed camper, this hitch has pre-drilled mounting points for TorkLift's super-sturdy camper tie-towns (sold separately). You can also add one of TorkLift's SuperTruss hitch extensions (sold separately) to extend the top receiver of the SuperHitch so that it clears your camper, allowing you to tow your trailer while your camper's installed.

Truck Bed Camper Compatibility

TorkLift is known for their truck camper tie-down systems and other camper accessories, so it just makes sense that they would have camper enthusiasts in mind when designing a trailer hitch. Each SuperHitch is built with integrated mounting points for TorkLift camper tie-downs, making it easier than ever to get a quality tie-down system for your slide-in camper.

TorkLift SuperTruss in SuperHitch

The dual-receiver design of the SuperHitch also makes it easy to tow with your truck bed camper in place. The SuperTruss line of high-capacity hitch extenders is specially designed to extend the hitch receiver back far enough to clear your bed-mounted camper, while still allowing for an excellent towing capacity. An ordinary hitch extender can dramatically reduce your towing capacity. But each SuperTruss extension forms such a solid connection with the SuperHitch that the setup is able to maintain one of the highest weight capacities in the industry. When used with a standard weight distribution system, the setup can maintain up to a 10,000-lb weight limit, even with an extension that is 60" long. As a result, you can clear almost any truck bed camper and still do some heavy-duty towing.

Dual Receivers for Maximum Versatility

With the SuperHitch from TorkLift, you can tow your trailer and use a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier at the same time. This is thanks to the dual-receiver design of the SuperHitch.

Most trailer hitches have a single receiver. Typically, you can find an adapter or extension piece that will slide into your hitch to give you 2 receivers, but these adapters dramatically reduce both your towing capacity and your tongue weight, limiting how much you can tow, as well as how much you can carry with a bike rack or cargo carrier. Each SuperHitch is specially constructed to maintain a high weight capacity so that you can use the 2 receivers without sacrificing towing or carrying ability.

2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

I think it is a great product but expensive. In retrospect I could not do what I wanted with the truck and hitch so I spent the money needlessly. Not any fault of your company. I would have been just as well to leave the stock OEM and not spent the money anyway. Live and learn.

Great heavy duty hitch compared to Chevy factory hitch which egged out after towing 8000 miles. New hitch has extra welds around holes to help prevent egging.I did have to do some filing of the hitch to allow shank to slide in as it was a tight fit(which is a good thing).

i love this hitch setup. i had one on my previous 2008 chevy 2500hd. now i have 2016 chevy 3500hd. installation was fairly simple if you study the instructions. i would recommend to anyone except when you order.... tell them you want extra packaging from manufacturer! (my hitch was drop shipped) I received my hitch with NUMEROUS paint chips! was very disappointed. etrailer went beyond what i consider there responsibility and credited me some money for a can of paint for touch ups.

First off thanks for following up on this. I love all the products! Installation was good as can be for the hitch but I had same hitch on my 2008 hd and as I remember it.... the paint held up alot longer than this new one. It is literally half way rusted. Half the black paint is gone! Being said seeing a rusty hitch on my new 2016 truck is annoying. Very disappointed. Ill have to repaint the whole hitch.Otherwise I am happy with all products

2015 GMC 3500HD

The Hitch is AWESOME! The attachment bolts took 3 hands and a set of small wife-fingers to facilitate placement of the backing plates on the long bolts at the rear of the hitch frame rails.

On our GMC 3500HD, the fishing of the bolts through the frame for the lateral frame rail supports (and rear camper tie down brackets) was pretty difficult. The opening in the frame did not allow the entire stack of bolt/washer/spacer to be passed and placed.

Generally, the method of attachment was very strong and well thought through. The passing of the bolts/washers/backing plates through the frame works, but can be conceptually challenging to the uninitiated.

It's a great system that can applied by a Harry and Harriet Homeowner - esp. if one has small, flexible hands. We did our truck without a lift in our garage.... and so can you - Go for it! :)

The item appears very heavy Doty and well designed. Only complaint I have is the stickers on it were put on upside down. This Dow nothing to quality just makes it appear I have installed it upside down.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For A 2005 International Truck 8600 Series
When it comes to installing a trailer hitch on your 2005 International 8600 4x2 Day Cab Single Axle I recommend The Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets - 2 inch Receiver - 44 inch Wide # C99CR. This hitch has adjustable side brackets that slide along the hitch body to match exactly the width of your vehicle frame before welding it on. The hitch has a maximum gross towing trailer weight up to 16,000 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight up to 1,600 pounds. The side brackets...

  • Hitch Extender Rated for 6,000 Pounds at 24 Inches Long for a 2016 GMC Sierra
There is a 24 inch long hitch extender that is rated for 6,000 pounds or more but you would have to install a different trailer hitch on your truck. Specifically it will need to be a Tork Lift SuperHitch Original or Magnum. These hitches are available for the 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 but not the 1500. For a 2500/3500 and long bed you can use # TLC1211. For a short bed use # TLC1212. Then you will be able to use TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension # TLE1524. This extension when used...

This dual-receiver hitch is confirmed to fit your Sierra 3500 with the 6-1/2 foot bed and has a maximum towing capacity of 17,000 pounds. Once installed, the TorkLift SuperTruss HItch Extension...

Your 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 will come with the 2-1/2 inch receiver as you stated with a reducer sleeve in most cases for 2 inch accessories. If your loaded 2 horse trailer is under 6,000 lbs, then you won't need the SuperHitch. You can simply use the Reese # RP45292. And that will even expand to 8,000 lbs if you use a weight distribution system. If your weight is over that or if you just want more peace of mind, then you will need the SuperHitch # TLC1212 or # TLC1212-30 for the...

Loctite Threadlocker 243, like part # LT1330799 creates a strong bond that can still be removed with hand tools. If torqued properly per the installation instructions, the hitch should be just fine.

The issue is the weight of your trailer and 50% reduction from the adapter. In order to use the SuperTruss you will also need the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver part # TLC1212 if you have a 6-1/2' bed or part # TLC1211 if you have an 8' bed.
