How To Tow a Trailer with Tailgate Down on 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
Hello, I have a 2018 Chevy 2500HD double cab with a 6’ bed. We tow our 2020 camper rough GWVC is about 6k lbs. We are wanting to carry our harley to go camping and would like to load it in to the bed of the truck. Is there a hitch extension or an anti sway bar/hitch that would come out far enough allowing me to tow the camper with the tailgate down?

I do have an option for you but you'll need a pretty extensive setup for this, probably not what you were expecting but extending the connection point changes a lot when towing. I have attached some parts below for this, I can't tell you exactly what you need as there are too many variables but this will be a good base, you'll need to measure and record weights from here.
