Is Threadlocker Needed When Installing TorkLift Superwinch Trailer Hitch Receiver

Question:

When assembling and installing the hitch, the use of Threadlock is not discussed. Is it a useful addition or a detriment to the assembly integrity? Thanks for your reply.

Loctite Threadlocker 243, like part # LT1330799 creates a strong bond that can still be removed with hand tools. It isn't required by the manufacturer for installing a hitch like the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # TLC1212.

If torqued properly per the installation instructions, the hitch should be just fine.
