Specs:
The EcoHitch Stealth trailer hitch is designed to be completely out of sight when you're not towing. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind your rear bumper. No drilling or welding is required. Once installed, the cross tube will be completely concealed and only the receiver will be visible beneath your bumper. But unlike other hitches with hidden cross tubes, the Stealth goes one further. You can remove the receiver portion of the hitch for a completely out-of-sight setup. To mount the receiver, just insert it up into the access port that is built into the cross tube. Secure the receiver to the hitch with the supplied bolt and washers. When you're done towing, just remove the receiver portion to return your vehicle to its clean, factory appearance.
With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will stand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. The EcoHitch's recycled materials limit the carbon footprint during manufacturing, so you get a sturdy trailer hitch while also helping the environment.
This EcoHitch trailer hitch is tested for durability and sturdiness. Using Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA), individual points of stress on the hitch can be detected and remedied. Designers can accurately test the hitch to ensure that it will meet or exceed SAE J684 standards. The EcoHitch Stealth trailer hitch is carefully researched and strength tested for a durable, high-quality hitch that can resist damage while on the road.

-Packaging could have been better. The hitch is so heavy that it had tears through three sides of the box by the time it arrived.
-The receiver has a tiny amount of wiggle even with the bolt torqued to 112ft lbs. It is also ever so slightly off center axis. I suspect that a stealth hitch wouldn’t have these issues.
-Install took me about 1.5 hrs but I work on cars a lot.
-There are a couple of errors both in the written instructions and the video by etrailer. First and most importantly, the etrailer installer measures from the wrong line on the bumper cover for his cuts. You are supposed to measure two inches back from the bottom kick sensor ridge inside the bumper. He measures forward two inches from the lowest outside visible ridge which is incorrect. His cut results in the hitch being much more visible than it needs to be. You can see in my photos that if you follow the cut directions in the written instructions that it is much more hidden. The receiver also slides in right in the center of the hole. I put some edge trim around the cut which makes it look much better and protects your knuckles when removing and installing the receiver.
-Second, both the written and video instructions don’t give enough info on the dowel pins below the taillights. There is a flap within the bracket on the body that needs to be folded out of the way after removal of the pin and back into position after bumper reinstall. Since I did not know this, the flap on one of mine broke off. I was able to position it back and slide the dowel pin through after bumper reinstall. Bottom line: after you pull the pin: look down in there with a flashlight and fold the flap towards the center of the car so the bumper tabs can come out.
Hope this helps others.
I needed a 2" hitch to accommodate a bike rack (no wiring needed) and this hitch is exactly what I wanted. I did not do the install myself but had a local body shop do the job and I am very pleased with the result.
I wanted a 2" hitch so my wife and I could use the same bike rack. The price difference between the 1.25" hitches and the 2" is insane. But in the end it was cheaper than buying a second rack and then having to deal with two racks. Install wasn't bad. I can't understand why the hitch part is removable. When the rack is installed it just rocks back and forth making noise. I don't know why anyone would go through the trouble of taking the hitch on and off and now someone can steal the rack with a wrench. There's no way to lock it on now. There were no other options though but wish I'd gone a different route.
Great product, easy to install
DOES NOT FIT WHEN YOU PUT THE BUMPER COVER BACK ON

Thank you for your review. You have to cut the fascia of the bumper to make it fit. Here is a video of the trimming starting at the 11:52 minute mark.
Hitch works great. The tongue sits almost flush to the rear bumber, almost not noticeable when your not towing.

When it comes to cutting the hole for accessibility inside the bumper, it really depends on your preference for the holes aesthetic. You can see at time stamp 11:39, for the installation video of the 2017 Audi A4 Allroad, that our installer cuts a little higher on the bumper to make it a bit more accessible for the average person to see and maneuver where the receiver tube is going while attaching and removing. If you would like for the hitch to be completely invisible, you can cut a little lower on the bumper or if you like to be able to see a bit more clearly when attaching or removing the receiver, you can move the hole just a .5 inch higher on the bumper.
