The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.Installation was extremely simple. I had recruited my son to assist with the setting of the hitch, but I spent about 30 minutes prepping the underside. The only issue I had was the large bolt on the muffler side that was a bit stubborn, but a large crescent wrench fit perfectly in place and it came out with little difficulty.
I drove to my son's house with the vehicle ready and we had it in place and torqued to specs in about 15 minutes. It centered easily and I am ready to attach the bike rack so my wife and I can take a soon arriving bike trip.
This hitch is solid and I look forward to years of use.
The hitch fit perfectly and was just as advertised. I like the way it's barely visible with just the necessary parts showing. Between the instructions and and a video I watched, installation was not difficult-did it by myself with hand tools in about an hour and a half. If you're accustomed to DIY projects/light repairs it will be easy for you. The only tricky part for me was trimming the plastic shield underneath. Just have to take your time so it looks good and not butchered. I'm glad I went with this one instead of trying to save a few bucks with another one. (FYI-The Toyota plug did not come with it)
The hitch was easy to install, but for some reason the "tube" points slightly toward the passenger side of the vehicle. We loosened the bolts and tried to straighten it, but the holes in the hitch were all directly over the holes in the vehicle's frame, and no adjustment was possible. Thus far we have used the hitch only with our bike racks, and have had no problem.
We are pretty happy how the hitch turned out. You have to overlook the shipping part as it appears a common issue to have broken boxes, after all this thing is about 50 lbs, but the parts a product was undamaged.
I sprayed painted the hitch with a matte black as it got scuffed during shipping, and I honestly like it better that way.
Installation was pretty straight forward and the fit was spot on. We already used the hitch to transport bikes on a KUAT Sherpa 2.0 rack on a 10 hour round trip with no issues.
As far as looks, it looks great. The cross-bar is hidden and unless you are looking hard, you would not even tell is an after-market hitch. The receiver protrudes maybe 1.5 inches and there is no risk of hitting the legs when loading or unloading. Another reason why picked this one over the Hidden EcoHitch besides price is this one has a mounting bracket if we ever need to add the wiring harness.
We are very pleased with the product and the etrailer service. We are looking forward to many more bike trips.
Installation was easy, after viewing the video links posted. I made some miner changes on my installation. I used a hot gun and manipulated the exhaust flap, so it stayed fully intact. Also reinstalled both splash guards with some miner modifications to them with my Dremel.

The availability and shipping of the product even during Covid was awesome! They delivered as promised. We had it installed and no issues there. We really wanted a hitch that was flush and not seen or sticking out and this is perfect! We love it! Used for a bike rack currently and even being flush mounted, the rack with four adult bikes does not come close to the car. Perfect!
I just received this hitch and am very impressed with the workmanship in constructing it and the finish on it. The packaging protected it well from damage by UPS. Note that I have NOT yet installed it so I cannot comment on how well it fits. I have, in the past, purchased and installed a similar Drawtite hitch pon a similar vehicle and that fit perfectly.
Carol C. We are very pleased with the appearance of the etrailer receiver on our 2020 highlander. Installation was clear cut. I would add: removing the spare tire allows for more working room. The instructions said nothing about putting the plastic panels back on. Simple enough, with a little bit of trimming on the drivers side panel. All screws and plastic snaps were returned to their original locations. Thank you for keeping me updated on the status of my order.
Installing Draw-Tite 76336 Trailer Hitch
Purchase went very well working with Julie's assistance.
Tracking was great, extremely detailed, and delivery was on time as specified.
Shipping box was extra heavy duty, protected the hitch very well. Box so tough it was
extremely hard to cut up for recycling. Great protection.
Installed with car on ground.
Used support stands to secure exhaust, placed under muffler.
Only lowered a short distance for necessary clearance.
Did not have to use exhaust removal tool. Car is one month old, and rubber support slid off
easily, by hand, without any lubricants. Maybe after time it gets more difficult to remove.
Did not need to remove shields on passenger side.
Installed hitch myself. Hitch fit like a glove, perfectly. Instructions were accurate. All info on
website was very helpful
My 3/4" socket fit the mounting bolts adequately for torqueing.
Did not have a metric socket that big.
Trimmed guard on drivers side and re-attached. It must be for something, so it probably
should be attached. Panel is a pain in the bu-- to re-attach.
Final installation looks great, under car and rear of car. Much better than others I have seen.
I am 77 years old, and installation took me about 1-1/2 hours. I took my time, wanted it done
right, and took time to be careful and safe.

I have a 2021 Hybrid AWD Highlander XLE; the hitch fit perfectly. I only need to cut a little piece above the muffler; also cut a little bit of the bottom cover at driver side (see attached picture);
The instruction book is not very accurate, it’s not necessary to lower the muffler; it can save a lot of work because the two screws are very difficult to remove.
It’s took me 4 hours to get it all done, because I don’t have nice tools, and I did it very carefully.
After the installation is done, only the hitch can be seen, all else hide inside the rear bumper, look so good.
As far as customer service, all of the person I talked to are very nice, especially Nicole T; she is very helpful!
Amazing customer service. I couldn’t find the hitch I needed locally so I googled it and found Etrailer. Ordered the hitch and got it shipped to my door in less than a week and it was cheaper than all the quotes I got locally. Unfortunately the hitch showed up missing 3 washers. I emailed the help line at 8pm and asked what they would do and within an hour I had a response and 1 email later they were shipping me the missing washers. Amazing customer service (especially Hanna S.) and overall amazing experience even with the minor issue of having to wait for the washers to come in. Would highly recommend Etrailer and I will be shopping here again!
etrailer really came through. I had ordered a tow hitch receiver for my vehicle through another company and was told that it would be delivered in time for my trip. However four days before I was supposed to leave, I received an email from the other company saying that my part was on back order had not been shipped and would not be in for another six weeks. I called each trailer to see if there was anyway they could get it here on time they had the hitch in stock and were able to get it shipped out and to me with enough time to still have it installed before my trip. The service is absolutely amazing! The hitch is great it was a perfect fit for the factory frame and weld nuts. Looks and functions just like the factory part but for a fraction of the cost.
The delivery was fast.. the box was damaged in multiple places.. Thanks to good packaging, the contents were undamaged .. no scratches. The finish looks very good. I plan to install it next week.

I am please with this part, I specially like how good of a fit this was for my 2021 Toyota highlander hybrid Platinum, far better than the OEM part. The installation was easy, the only part that was tedious was the final trimming of the plastic cover on the driver's side. My only minor complaint is the low quality of the paint, it chips easily, even as I was unpacking from the box some places had bare steel showing, I have now applied primer to these sections and will repaint with black later. Perfect fit little bit of effort needed align the holes, miss-align about 2-3millimeters, overall neat design only hitch lip (square) visible outside. I love the video instruction in the website. I did DIY with floor jack and jack stands. I took time (not a pro) (~3hrs) easier than I thought. Nice if they can provide custom made socket to passenger side plastic cover, as we have to leave it without a screw.

The installation was not difficult and the hitch in my opinion is perfectly located on the vehicle so it does not protrude excessively beyond the bumper.

On time delivery and it fits perfectly well on my 2020 Highlander Hybrid XLE. I was able to put on the passenger side panel but the driver side panel cannot be put back on with the hitch. Solid hitch receiver. I can send you more pictures if you need some for references.
Great fit for 2021 Toyota Highlander Limited. One person install took 2 hours with the help of two floor jacks. Hitch mount looks better than the factory option; which protudes from the bumper.
For the 2020 Toyota Highlander. Wiring harness fit perfectly and it was super easy to install. All you need is about 20 minutes of your time and some very basic hand tools. Instructions were on point.
Very good service and I installed the hitch today. Not so easy a job on the ground by myself.
I used two jack stands to get the hitch up close and was able to push up and start the bolts.
Easy to install took a total of two hours including setting up getting tools and putting everything away .Replaced both under panels only had to trim drivers side panel with tin snips which took a bit of time .
It was as easy to install as stated. This is a 2021 Toyota hybrid platinum. We ordered the wiring harness too. Watched the supplied video and that made it easy as well.
Easy to order and choose the best hitch for our application. Install was very easy to follow with the help of the video; I highly recommend etrailer!

Typically hitches will have a 2 to 3 degrees variance in how straight the receiver will be. When used to tow a trailer it will not be noticeable.
