Quality piece. Bolt holes on flat area that fits against bottom of frame channel do not line up. You should have sent 4 of the wire guides as they are easily ruined in routing. Will only have 4 of six bolts used and should be good enough for 2 bikes.

It looks like our customer service team is already in touch with you about getting some more wire guides sent out. As far as the hitch not fitting the frame, it is likely the hitch was flexed in the shipping process. This happens fairly often and we even have an article with a few ways to correct the bend of the hitch. I will leave a link to that article. And then lastly, while you may be right that four of the six bolts might be enough, it is always best to install the hitch exactly how the manufacturer outlines. If not, it could potentially compromise the integrity of the hitch. Safety first!

Put it on my mom's Caddy for my dad's hoveround chair lift. Install was pretty easy and hitch looks good.

Please keep in mind that the hitch has a tongue weight maximum amount of downward force that can safely be applied capacity of 350 lbs. The weight of the chair and its carrier should not exceed 350 lbs.

Works great on my Cadillac. Install required a little more than bolting on. Had a pro do it.

I am 70 years old, and for all of the rest of my life I have welded together my trailer hitches. This hitch was the second I purchased from etrailer. The first was 3 years ago for a 2002 Buick, and I was amazed how easy it went on and how substantial the ready made hitch was.
My most recent hitch was for a 2005 Cadillac Deville. This went on even easier than the Buick and the fit was perfect. Although the hitch on the Cadillac is only for my wife's wheel chair (non powered) I feel the hitch is sturdy enough for any trailer the Cadillac is designed to pull. The hitch is almost invisible and does not detract from the looks of my car.

Item arrived a day early, well packaged, installed same day, good fit. Hitch is hidden even better than I expected.

by:

The hitch receiver and ball mount arrived together and much faster than I would have expected (2 days). When there was a question about installation (I did it myself) customer service answered my question quickly and it all came together fast. I could not have been happier with the whole experience. The whole unit has been working just fine, as expected. And the price is hard to beat.

easy to install and fit well

I actually got two hitches from etrailer.com on the same day. Quick and easy tracking and delivery. Once I had them I was pleased to see that I had all the hardware as some places are fairly forgettful in that department. When preparing to do the install I chose to toss the blueprints that came with the hitches and use the online instructional videos created by etrailer.com. I was pleased with how clear the instruction and camera work was. It literally made installing these hitches a breeze. Easiest install I have done yet. Thanks etrailer.com for making this process such an easy experience!

Pretty straight forward. Curt hitch, how can you go wrong? Heavy duty construction, easy install. etrailer...great company. Packaged arrived when they estimated, which was quicker than I thought, and shipped for free. Will be consulting and buying a bike rack here. Huge selection and very knowledgeable about the products they carry. Do not hesitate to buy from etrailer.

The hitch appeared to be very easy to install and all parts fit perfectly well. The printed instruction and specially video were very helpful. The wire feeder worked very well, but should be slightly longer. Above all, it looks very nice on my 2008 Cadillac DTS and is barely visible. It is great product from great company. Thanks.

Everything arrived on time as expected. Installation was easy. I would recommend reviewing the installation video. It was very informative. I was able to install the hitch without lowering the exhaust.

heavy duty. the wire in the kit is totally awesome! it works very well! very pleased with it. installed my myself. it was a little cumbersome, but I did it. the bar is not as wide as the frame, it has to be stretched. I suggest threading the two hang down bolts before trying to install. Leave the wire on one bolt while mounting the other side first. Once one side is holding up with the small bolt and the hang down bolt, tighten up the other side small bolt to line up the hang down bolt...without the wire still attached, it may go back up inside and be lost. I had to purchase another bolt because of that mistake. work with tightening and loosening the bolts until both sides are pulled up tight. the last two front bolts are a piece of cake after that...

This is the second purchase I have made from these people and the experience has been fantastic for both of them. I had the product within a week of the day I ordered it and it came when they said it was going to and they told me what time I was going to get there and it did it it was perfect. Excellent place to do business with thank you so much.

by:

Great product, easy install. I only wish it had the 2" receiver option without a converter that drops the weight 50%.

by:
2011 Cadillac DTS

The product came on time as stated. Very happy with the quality of hitch. The video at the website was very helpful. Was able to install by my self in about 1 1/2. I will buy from etrailer again.

by:

The website is perhaps the most efficient online buying website I’ve ever used. My only complaint is, the how-to video was for an earlier year than my car’s model, so I had to figure out some of the application myself, which took me longer than it should have. Still, all in all, I’m pleased with the product.

by:

My only complaint is that instructions need be a little more detailed for those of us that have never installed this product before!

by:

fit well, easy installation!

by:
2006 Cadillac DTS

Not as easy as the video claims. Took around two hours to install. But like the way it looks, barely see it

by:

Hi, I received my hatch but I haven't installed it yet. I looked it over and it seems to be well built! I don't know how well it fits or how much trouble it is to install but I'll soon find out.

  • Can I Tow a 17 Foot Boat with a 2002 Cadillac DeVille
You must abide by the weight capacity of the hitch or vehicle, whichever is lowest. Adding air shocks or springs will not increase the capacity of the hitch and, unless Cadillac has specified, it will not increase the towing capacity of the DeVille. Check the owner manual to see what the towing capacities of the car are. This Curt hitch, part # 12058, will fit a 2002 Cadillac DeVille and it has gross trailer weight capacity of 3500 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 350 pounds. If the...

  • Trailer Hitch Options for a 2004 Cadillac DeVille
The only trailer hitches available for the 2004 Cadillac DeVille are Class II trailer hitches. I have included a link to them for you to the right. I am assuming you need a Class III hitch because you need the 2 inch receiver for an accessory of some kind. You may be able to still use a 2 inch accessory by using an adapter, # HTAD, but keep in mind that the use of an adapter reduces the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent. Curt hitch # C12058 has the highest tongue...

If you have a 2006 Cadillac SRX then you can use Curt hitch # C13050 or Draw-Tite hitch # 75174. If you have a 2006 Cadillac CTS or STS you can use Draw-Tite # 24767 or Curt # C11307 which are both Class I, 1-1/4 inch hitches. If you have a 2006 Cadillac DTS you can use # 36287 or # C12058 which are both Class II, 1-1/4 inch hitches. If you have a 2006 Cadillac Escalade or Escalade EXT you can use Class III hitch # C13422 or Class V hitch # C15324. If you have a 2006 Cadillac XLR there...

  • Which Hitch is Better for a 2008 Cadillac DTS?
I would be happy to help you. Both the Curt item # C12058 and the Draw-Tite item # 36287 trailer hitches are confirmed to fit your 2008 Cadillac DTS. The hitches are identical in everyway except for the name stamped on them. They have the same capacity, installation method, and dimensions. I recommend going with whichever one is the least expensive. The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118535 you were looking at is confirmed to fit your...

  • Can 2009 Cadillac DTS Tow Trailer
Hey Dan, it looks like the 2009 Cadillac DTS has a towing capacity of 1000 lbs so as long as the trailer weighs less than that it could tow a trailer. We have a trailer hitch that fits your vehicle with the Curt # C12058 and then for trailer wiring you'd need the part # 118535 as well.

  • Why is There Only 1-1/4 inch Hitch Available for 2007 Cadillac DTS
Class III hitches that have a 2 inch opening are normally only used on higher capacity vehicles like trucks and SUVs. For your 2007 Cadillac DTS we have Class II hitches with 1-1/4 inch opening due to it being a lower capacity vehicle overall. For that we have the Curt # C12058 which has higher capacities for a Class II hitch and although is the smaller hitch size has the same weight capacities as Class III hitches at 350 lb tongue weight and 3,500 lb trailer towing weight.
