Video Transcript for Review of Steele Rubber Trailer Door Parts - Seals - SR65FR

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at www.etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the 15 foot long, stick-on, half round rubber seal for RVs and enclosed trailers. Now let me just zoom in here to show you a better view of the seal itself. It's a hollow, half-round rubber seal, and it's used to prevent water from leaking into your doors, compartments, or hatches of your RV or your enclosed trailer. The rubber they use is highly wear and weather resistant, helps protect your RV from extreme weather and pest, and you can see it is a peel and stick installation.

Has the pre-applied 3M adhesive backing. You just simply peel off the backing paper, and then apply the seal. It does come with the two alcohol prep pads for cleaning the surface before installing your seal. And the dimensions again, the length we said is 15 feet. The width on this seal is going to be 7/16 of an inch, and the total height is 1/2 inch tall.

This part is made in the USA. Now this is a 15 foot length. It is also available in a five foot length, a 10 foot length, and a 30 foot length. But that should do it for the review on the 15 foot long, stick-on, half round rubber seal, for RVs and enclosed trailers..

  • Recommended Weather Stripping Seal For A Tack Room Door On A Horse Trailer
Though it will ultimately depend on which style you prefer as we do have a few options available, I recommend the Rubber Half Round Seal # SR65FR. This comes as a 15' section and will be 7/16" at the base and 1/2" tall. I have used seals like this before and have found them to hold up and last longer than some of the other styles. They also tend to make a better seal than the rectangular style, like the # SR25FR. I will also say that I am not a huge fan of the Rubber Half Round Seal with...

  • Replacement Storage Door Gasket Material For a 2019 Winnebago Micro Minnie Travel Trailer
In my experience for storage doors the Ribbed Rubber Seal # SR88FR is generally all that is required for the weather stripping. This seal is 3/16" thick so you will want to gauge the thickness required on your door. A good way to do this it to clean off the gasket material that is already there and use putty to determine how thick the material needs to be for the door to seal properly. It is a good idea to check this in a few places to also determine if your door is bent and that is what...
