Specs:
This rack makes it easy to organize your hardscaping tools. Sledgehammers, chisels, crowbars, and hand tracers can be easily stored inside your enclosed trailer or carried on an open trailer that has expanded metal sides. You can even mount this rack in your garage.
Sledgehammer Cutouts
The rack has 3 U-shaped cutouts that are designed to hold sledgehammers. A hinged gate closes over the hammer cutouts and latches with a snapper pin to hold the hammers securely in place. The pin is attached to the rack with a twisted steel cable so you won't lose it.
Circular Cutouts
The rack has 5 circular cutouts to hold hand tools. Smaller holes hold narrow tools that can hang by the handle such as chisels and crowbars. The larger holes accommodate tools such as hammers and hand tracers. To store a tool, simply drop it through one of the cutouts.
Install in Enclosed Trailer
This rack mounts securely to the wall of your enclosed trailer. Just attach the hangers to the rack and suspend the assembly from the header of your trailer's wall. Then secure the hangers to the wall with the included self-threading screws. The rack is pre-drilled to simplify installation.
You can also bolt this rack to your garage wall or to the expanded metal sides of an open trailer. Hardware for these installation methods is not included. For a secure installation in a garage, be sure to align the pre-drilled mounting holes with studs in your wall.

Today on our enclosed trailer we're going to be installing the Rack'em Hardscaping Hand Tool Rack for enclosed trailers, part number RA-31. This tool rack keeps your hardscaping, or hand tools, neatly stored on an inside wall of your enclosed trailer. The steel rack hooks at the top and the pre-drilled holes for securing and mounting to the wall. It can hold a variety of hand tools, and the durable powder coated finish will help prevent from rust and corrosion. It has three U-shaped cutouts to store sledge hammers, axes, splitting mauls, whatever hand tool you have, and the hinge gate closes over the cutout openings and latches in place to hold them securely. Additionally, it has five circle cutouts to store such tools as chisels, hand tracers, pry bars, or hammers. Now we'll go ahead and show you how to install the rack.
The top arms of our rack are designed to hook around the top wall of our trailer. However, on this application it's been modified with a piece of two by six back cut on an angle so that the arm can hang directly onto the two by six. The two by four, here at the bottom, just shims out for the width of the two by six. Take both pieces, put them up here on the wall and then bring in the main body of our tool holder. Here, on the arms it has the nubs, and on the main body it has the cutout.
We can simply lock it into place. I'll go ahead and straighten up the arms so it sits nice and level. Then we can use the pre-drilled holes in the arms and in the body of our shelf to secure it to the wall. I'm going to go ahead and choose one in each arm and one in the body where the body and the arm meet to secure them both tightly to the wall. Supplied with our install kit will be multiple self-threading screws.
Let's go ahead and secure it. Now, once we have the rack secured we can go ahead and load up our tools. Our smaller hand tools can be put into the smaller circle cutouts, and our larger tools, we can remove the clip, open the gate, and simply slide them into place. Then we can close the gate, put the pin back in place, and we don't have to worry about losing our tools as we go down the road. Another great feature is the small cable attached to the clip. Now we don't have to worry about losing our clip when it's not in use.
There you have it for install and operation of the Rack'em Hardscaping Handheld Tool Rack for enclosed trailers, part number RA-31. .
