1991 Dodge Ram Pickup

A one year review...sheesh. this was one of the worst purchases I've made. I ordered these for my towing rig, a 1991 dodge ram 250. They constantly fell off whenever I would shut the doors. Constantly. I would always have to slide them back on into position. Maybe because they're chrome mirrors I dunno. The sticky pads inside did not hold them firm. But my dad bought a new truck and 5th wheel and I mentioned these mirrors by name for him to avoid.307040

1992 Dodge Ramcharger

Threw them in the trash. I don't know if the mirrors were at fault or my truck just vibrates too much. Rear vision was useless as the mirror vibrated so bad. I tried to tighten mounting knob but it snapped off. I tried another type of universal towing mirror but the angle of the Dodge door wouldn't allow the installation.

I recently tried Dometic aero mirrors and had same issues as the slide on mirrors, bad vibration and mounting screws came loose.

Still works great after a year

Received my order promptly, packed very well. Connected them to my side mirrors, slid them right on without any problems. I was a bit worried they would be loose but they are very snug with the rubber pads attached to them. I had been using the side view mirrors with the rubber straps but those mirrors had a lot of vibration to them, these have no movement whatsoever, highly recommend these, very satisfied customer!87301

Good product but I was a little worried about the way they attached so I added a self tapping screw through the bottom and into the stock mirror housing. Good and solid and the hole is not visible when the screw is removed.405125

The fit and view seem fine. Using both pads there is very little vibration. A better fit than the strapped set I used in the past. I would recommend them. 145402

5,000 plus miles and counting. Leave them on even when not towing. No wiggle. Mountings still secure. Aerodynamic and much more attractive than other mounting systems. Pricy but well worth it. Toyota did not even offer towing mirrors for the 1st generation Tundras!!!1386083

Be aware. The pad coming with those mirrors is way to small. There will be spots, where the inner of the mirrors touches the plastic of your real mirror. It will strach them! Tried to pad the mirror more from the inside. But its not possible to get such a thin pad like the one coming with these mirrors. In this case, they get to thick and dont fit anymore.

Currently on use on a 1995 Chevy Suburban (aftermarket mirrors).1741039

Delivery was quick. The mirrors slipped on with ease and fit well over the existing mirrors and looked almost factory attached. Then came the task for securing the attachments to the vehicle. While the concept is easy someone forgot to check deminsions of the parts and were to short to work on my vehicle. I contacted etrailer by chat and asked if there were alternatives for securing the mirrors and unfortunately there weren't any. Then came my decision to use heavy duty electrical looped through the hole the sent hardware was to be inserted through. Unless you look closely they are not easily seen. When I want to remove the mirrors I simply snip the cable tie on each mirror and ues new ones the next time I need to use the mirrors. While my "fix" works they only 3 star because to the attachment hardware.1728031

Their customer service is top notch. I ordered mirrors in November after my fall trip and put them in the garage. In March I opened the box to discover 2 parts were missing. They sent me new parts and I'm in business. Thanks!1750011

Mirrors are easy to take on and off and feel very secure. Which makes them work very well for towing my camp trailer during the summer.

i do question longevity of these mirrors because attachment is based on tension of a plastic threaded bolt.1716389

Bought the custom extensions mirrors for my Silverado to aid in backing up our new camper trailer. Easy to install and remove. Videos were a great help. They not only helped in parking the camper but added a great deal of visibility while driving which makes for a safer trip.1747290
