Magnetic LED Tow Lights

A towed vehicle is required by law to have functional brake and signal lights that illuminate at the same time as the brake and signal lights on the motorhome or RV that is towing it. These removable tow lights make it easy to add running lights, brake lights, and turn signals to your towed car or trailer.

Simply mount the lights on your vehicle's trunk or roof with the heavy-duty magnetic bases. A 63" long section of wiring connects the tow lights, giving you enough slack to position the lights where you want them. Then run the 245" long wiring harness up to the front of your towed vehicle and across your tow bar and connect it to the 4-way flat on your RV.

If your RV doesn't have a trailer connector, then you can wire the extra 35" long 4-way harness that comes with this kit to your RV. And if your RV has a 6-way or 7-way trailer connector, an adapter (sold separately) will be required to connect the tow lights to your RV.

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

The wiring length should be increased by at least five feet. We have a small vehicle and still needed to use an extension. Otherwise it is a terrific solution.

by:

Have not used yet but I think it will be great

by:

Bought these magnetic trailer lights for my hitch-mounted e-bike rack. With two bikes on the rack, the rear car lights are partly obscured. These lights attach firmly to the rack with the magnets but I will secure them with straps as the rack surface is rounded. Plenty bright. Haven’t gone any distance yet, but I will drive reassured that the cars behind will better see my braking and turning.

These work fine and are bright. I plant them behind my toad's roof rack and add a little duck tape for security. I have lost other ones before. It may be overkill on these as magnet is good.

2013 Fiat 500

I've seen magnetic tow lights before but not like these LED's. As soon as they arrived I opened them up, checked them out and they are very well built, the magnets seem very firm and they are BRIGHT. The video on the ETrailer site does no represent how bright these light are in my opinion. Very pleased with the quality and how visible these lights are.

Great product, just as described. I am using it on my kayak trailer to replace the original incadescent lights.

  • Is a Base Plate Kit Available Without the Removable Arms for a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker
All of the base plate kits we sell come with the removable arms. Base plate kits are made with a specific set of removable arms at the factory, so no set of arms is completely identical. The frame bracket mounts of the base plate kits are not available separately from the removable arms. With that being said, the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, # 1012-1, is compatible with your 2001 Chevrolet Tracker and it will come with a set of removable arms that were designed to fit that kit. • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 1998 Jeep Wrangler
To flat tow your 1998 Jeep Wrangler, you will first want to install a base plate kit like the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit, # RM-521424-4, for Wranglers with a double tube bumper. It is not recommended to tow the Jeep Wrangler by the bumper alone. The base plate kits bolt to the frame of the Wrangler to provide a more secure attachment point. If you want to stick with the Tow Ready tow bar, you will want the Roadmaster Base Plate to Tow Ready Tow Bar Adapter, # RM-025. Keep in mind,...

  • Recommended Blue Ox Flat Towing Set Up for 2015 Chevy Sonic
We can help you get set with flat towing gear from Blue Ox. Flat towing requires 5 essential components: tow bar, safety cables, and a lighting solution, base plates and supplementary braking system for the toad. Let's start with the base plates for the 2015 Sonic. Blue Ox offers their # BX1703 with removable bracket arms for a clean appearance when you're not flat towing. With these base plates I suggest their Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 because it includes the required safety cables. Optronics...

  • Recommendation for Adding Temporary Brake Lights to Airstream Trailer
For temporary brake lights that can mount to your Airstream trailer, I recommend looking at the Optronics Magnetic Tow Lights # TLL21RK. These are magnetic red lights that will act as running lights, brake lights and turn signals. The magnetic bases will hold them firmly to any metal surface. This kit includes a 20 foot wiring harness with a 4-Way flat plug. To extend the wiring, I recommend cutting and splicing in the appropriate length for your trailer with Bonded 4 Wire # 16-4B-1....

The SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motor Homes with Air Brakes # SM99243 is compatible with your 2013 Cadillac SRX with adjustable brake pedal. No additional parts are needed for installation but the system needs to be set up with the pedals as far back (closest to the seat) as possible. Once installed this way the pedals must be moved back each time the vehicle is towed. A supplementary braking system like the Air Force One is one of the components essential to safe...

We do offer one set of base plates from Blue Ox that fit the non-Denali 2007 GMC Envoy, part # BX1709. While we do offer adapters to mate different brands of tow bars and base plates, the adapter required for your tow bar is rated only to 5000-lbs and your Envoy's gross weight is roughly 6400-lbs according to my research. If both the left and right turn signals on your MaxxTow Tow Lights MT70097 blink when either turn signal is activated on the tow vehicle the first thing to check is the condition of both connectors. Since the left- and right-turn signal circuits on a 4-pole are adjacent to each other (green and yellow wires), it is possible that corrosion in the connector can cause these two separate circuits to become bridged together. This condition could also explain the dim light output, since two...
