I have a Roadmaster Falcon 5250 tow bar with the used motor home I bought. I am asking for the correct base plates. Thank you.

Since you already have the Roadmaster Falcon 5250 tow bar, I recommend using Roadmaster base plates. You could use Blue Ox base plates, but you would have to use an adapter between the tow bar and the base plates.

If your Saturn is a 4 door sedan model, then I would recommend the Roadmaster Classic Base Plate Kit, # 154-2. If you have a wagon or 2 door coupe model, then I recommend the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, # 52181-1. I frequently find that the Quick Disconnect Base Bar Assembly, # 910021-00, is missing when tow bars are purchased used. If your Falcon tow bar does not have the quick disconnect base bar assembly, then you will want to pick that up as well. This allows the tow bar to attach to the base plates on the car.

If you have not flat towed before, then there are a few other components of the flat tow setup that I recommend checking out. First, you will want a set of safety cables, part # RM-643. These will provide additional security in the event the tow bar fails.

You will also want a tail light wiring kit. If you do not plan on towing frequently and want something simple to install and remove, I recommend a magnetic light kit like part # TLL21RK. If you will be towing frequently and would like a kit with a more permanent installation, I recommend using a bulb and socket kit like part # RM-155. This kit will bypass the tail light wiring on your vehicle, but it does require the additional bulb to be installed in the tail light assembly on your Saturn. I have attached a set of the installation instructions for you to check out.

The final item that you may need is a supplemental braking system. Most states now require the use of a braking system when flat towing. There are a few different options for a braking system, but one system that I recommend looking at is the Roadmaster 9700 Portable Braking System, # RM-9700. This unit can be removed from the vehicle when you are not towing.

I have attached a few help articles on flat towing, tail light wiring and braking systems for you to check out. If you have any questions on my recommendations or other parts, just let me know.
