These aerodynamic racks are strong and quiet and work perfectly with the adjustable supports. The T-slots allow several accessory items to be installed bith above and below the crossbars. Love them.

My local vendor here in Hawaii had everything I needed for my rack install except 2 pairs of the Yakima HD Crossbars. Due to supply chain issues, it was unknown when the would come in. etrailer to the rescue. HD bars we’re in stock. Site navigation, price, checkout, and shipping were excellent. Nice to have attachment points on crossbars but stopped using due to wind resistance on Kayaks caused base clips to come loose.

- How To Install Roof Platform Tray On a 2018 Nissan NV 2500 High RoofI do have an option to install a platform tray on top of a 2018 Nissan NV 2500 High Roof but there are no options through Rhino Rack currently. Instead, you'd need to first install a Yakima Roof Rack part # Y01158, part # Y03541, part # Y53TR, part # Y00221. Then you could use this to install a Yakima Platform Trap part # Y05046 and part # Y05039 (2). In regards to modifying the platform, I could not recommend this.

With large kayaks it is recommended to tie down the front and rear to prevent wind from pushing your kayak up. If you do not have a tie down point in the front of your vehicle you can try the Malone Hood loops Item # MPG308. Then just add a heavy duty ratchet strap like Item # IMF14206.
