Used as a replacement for original connector that didn't have a positive fit. This one clicks in and provides confidence of a snug fit.

We purchased this tank for our Little Guy Mini Max camper. Prior to installing this accumulator, the Shurflo 4008 pump cycled frequently, was noisy and the water flow pulsated. This accumulator reduced cycling and eliminated the pulsation. Adding flexible hose between the fresh water tank, the pump, and accumulator reduced the noise a lot. This Seaflo tank appears more solidly built than other similar models offered by other manufacturers. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the included hose fittings appear to be low quality. They were replaced with higher quality fittings to avoid leaks.

Installed this in my camper hoping to stop the floor-shaking judder when running the faucet at lower flows. This helps but only at low flow. I suspect it’s ~8 oz of drawdown at 40/50 psi, so every cup of water that comes out kicks the pump back on. A 1 or 1.5L would be a better choice.

So quiet I couldn't hear it running with my music playing.

A year after installation Im still pleased with the pump. Quiet, efficient, and dependable. Im a weekender so its not in constant use.

@Hobob Great to hear that, thanks for checking in!

This accumulator is a great value. I had installed similar (more costly) accumulators on my 30ft sailboat and in my other camping trailer. The etrailer video incorrectly instructs to set the charge pressure to 3 psi. This is a mis-read of the labeled instruction on the unit which states to pre-charge to 3 psi less than the pump cut-in pressure. I set my pre-charge pressure to 37 psi for my 40 psi cut-in. I found this too much. After experimenting with a few other settings, I settled on 20 psi pre-charge which provided the minimum amount of pump cycling when running the kitchen sink faucet at various flows.

I reached out to the manufacturer and the tank does com pre charged to 10 PSI. It can be adjusted up or down using the schrader valve and a bicycle pump. I recommend viewing our second video which I have linked below.

Great. No problems

After some problems with usps, etrailer really did a great job of getting the problem solved and getting my item delivered. I am very impressed with the customer service at etrailer. Happy customer I am. I will not hesitate to order from them again.

This thing is a great upgrade to our RV. Our water tank and pump is directly under our bed. It was very noisy and pulsating constantly. This tank made it almost completely quite and the pump has a longer draw down before cycling. Excellent product and I have recommended it to others.

by:

It helped quiet the water system. Made the system work better! I subtracted one star for the fittings, they both leaked! A small o ring in the fitting fixed the leaks!

by:

Works great, wish i had installed it so oner.

  • Accumulator Tank Mounting
Per the manufacturer The Seaflo Accumulator Tank # SE38FR the tank can be mounted horizontal or vertical, whatever gives you the most room to mount. I attached a review video link below.

  • Are Barbed Fitting Adapters Included in Seaflo Accumulator Tank for Marine and RV Water Pumps?
The Seaflo Accumulator Tank for Marine and RV Water Pumps - 0.75 Liter # SE38FR has 1/2" MPT inlet and outlets. It does come with the barbed adapters so you will only need the Replacement Fitting for Seaflo Diaphragm Water Pumps - 1/2" FPT x 1/2" Barb - Qty 1 # SE43FR if one is lost or damaged.

  • Is An Accumulator Tank Needed For The Excel RV Tankless Water Heater
The need for an accumulator tank like the Seaflo Accumulator Tank # SE38FR with the Excel RV Tankless On-Demand Water Heater # EX93FR would depend solely on the pressure of your water pump. This water heater requires a water pressure of 2 psi up to 120 psi to properly function. It has an operating waterflow of 1.6 gallons of hot water per minute. A pound of propane has 21,591 BTU, so with the Excel burning at 38,000 BTUs you would multiply 21,500 by the size of the tank (4gal) and divide...

  • RV Water Pump and Accumulator for a Quieter Water System
Thanks for the picture! If you have the space I would absolutely recommend going with an accumulator tank to take the pressure and stress off of your pump. The Seaflo Accumulator Tank for Marine and RV Water Pumps - 0.75 Liter item # SE38FR would be a great addition to your set up it will trap and absorb water and air in the tank which lessens the noise. This accumulator will work well with the HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump - 12 Volt - 3 Gallons Per Minute - 55 psi item # P25201 you referenced....

  • Troubleshooting Weak Water Pressure With A Dometic RV Water Heater
If the pressure builds up and then slows down to just a small stream then you most likely are not getting a high enough pressure for the Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR to properly function. It's getting enough water to fill the tank, but not enough to keep it full and handle the demand from the running faucets. This could be caused by a clog in the line, like you were thinking, or a bad water pump if you aren't using city water. On most RV water pumps there's a little adjuster screw...

  • Accumulator Tank For Cold Water Only System
Yes, the Seaflo # SE38FR accumulator would be perfect for that purpose. It will reduce the number of off and on cycles at the pump, eliminating a lot of noise in the trailer.

  • Do Brands Matter When Installing Accumulator Tanks And Can Multiple Be Used Together
Brands don't matter when it comes to installing the Seaflo Accumulator Tank for RV and Boat Water Pumps # SE38FR or any other accumulator tank. You could install multiple accumulators but you wouldn't really see a benefit from it unless you moved them closer inline to the point of use (shower, faucet, etc.).

Antifreeze would not be an issue with the Seaflo Accumulator Tank for Marine and RV Water Pumps - 0.75 Liter Item # SE38FR that you referenced. The pump would not be affected at all.

  • Troubleshooting Low Water Pressure In An RV With A Pressure Regulator And Water Filter
Since the water filter could become clogged with debris, sediment, etc. there is the possibility that this is causing the low pressure. You can replace the cartridge inside your filter with part # CAM40621 to see if this solves the issue. If not then it could be that the regulator is the issue and that you'll need to replace it with another like part # A01-1124VP. Regulators can fail over time or become clogged up internally so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that this is...

  • Is Accumulator Tank Needed for HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump
If you'd like you can use an accumulator tank with the HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump - 12 Volt - 3 Gallons Per Minute - 55 psi # P25201. It has standard 1/2 inch fittings so you can use the Seaflo Accumulator Tank for Marine and RV Water Pumps # SE38FR. An accumulator tank is not needed, but is a nice convenience feature because it makes the water pump system quieter; it traps and absorbs water and air in the tank which lessens the noise. So while it is not necessary, it is a nice thing...

  • Replacement For Shurflo 2088-403-144 Water Pump & Can it be Quieter
We do have a replacement you can use for your Shurflo 2088-403-144 water pump, which is the HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump - 12 Volt - 3 Gallons Per Minute - 55 psi # P25201. On its own the # P25201 won't be quieter, but what you can do is add an accumulator tank which will help lessen the noise by reducing the pump's cycling; for that I recommend the Seaflo Accumulator Tank # SE38FR.

  • How Often Should You Check The Pressure Of Your Seaflo Accumulator Tank
Sorry for the delay, I wasn't getting any word back from Seaflo until today. Their rep recommends checking your Accumulator Tank # SE38FR quarterly. Seaflo's Accumulator tanks have a small air bag inside of them that can lose pressure over time causing the pump to have work harder. There is an air inlet (pictured below) that you can hook a standard bike air pump onto to increase the pressure inside of the airbag.

  • Troubleshooting City Water Low Pressure At A Campsite
The Seaflo Submersible Utility Pump for Boats and RVs # SE54FR is a water pump and is designed for short intermittent use so it wouldn't really increase the pressure for your RV how you're needing it to. You would instead need to install a higher GPM and PSI rated water pump than what you currently have and/or an accumulator tank like the Seaflo Accumulator Tank for RV and Boat Water Pumps # SE38FR to increase the pressure. If you're running off of city water pressure from the campground...

  • Troubleshooting A Fogatti Tanjless Water Heater That Goes Cold But Doesn't Have An Error Code
If the hot water from your Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR is fading back to cold it could be for the following reasons: If you have a lack of lp gas pressure the unit won't be able to keep up. Typically you would get an error code with this. Since you're not it leads me to believe that it's either a water pressure issue or electrical issue. Check the water pressure at the unit to ensure it's getting around 40-50psi so that it can keep up with the demand at the point of use...
