Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Exterior RV Step Rug. This is a 22 inch wide rug that will wrap around your RV's exterior step. That will give you a place to wipe your feet off as you're going in to help keep that dirt outside. So you're not tracking it in, keep your RV's floors a little bit cleaner. This is 22 inches wide.

So it's going to fit on your 22 inch wide steps or your 24 inch wide steps, like we have here. You can see with our 24 inch wide steps, we do have a little bit of a gap on either side but that's still gonna provide plenty of room for you to walk up and down. And if you have it centered, like I do here, I think it looks just fine as well. This will work with your straight steps as well as your curved steps. It'll work on your manual step systems as well as your electric systems.

And it's just going to do a really good job of providing that place to wipe your feet off. You can see this is a grizzly brown color, so it's a nice dark brown, should do a really good job of hiding that dirt as it accumulates over time. And this is a Trailhead style from Prest-O-Fit. So it's kind of a dense turf feel. It's got these strong bristle fibers.

So it's going to do a great job of clearing off the soles of your shoes and make sure that that dirt isn't getting into your RV. This is a heavy duty outdoor rug. So it's going to be resistant to mold and mildew that typically come with being outdoors in the elements. It's also going to resist fading due to UV rays. So it should last you a nice long time.

It's extremely easy to get cleaned off. You just spray it down with a hose and let it air dry. And you're ready to go. Another benefit to this is if your steps have holes in them, oftentimes our pets can see through those holes and it makes them a little skittish about walking up and down the steps on their own. So having a solid platform like this, it's going to provide that nice, solid landing spot for them to climb up and down the RV steps themselves. As far as installation goes, it's extremely simple. We've got these 4 springs on the backside here. I'll move the steps a little bit closer, so you can see those better. So these Springs are holding the backside to the front side. So we have a constant tension. So the rug's not going to move around. As I unhook these springs, you can see, we do have these 4 flaps or tabs that are cut, so that we can accommodate the curvature of those curved steps but it will still work for your straight steps. And you can see on each tab, we are going to have these 4 grommet holes. This is to accommodate different depth steps. So our tightest one is going to fit your 8 inch deep steps, all the way up to 11 inches deep. And that's just going to determine where you're going to hook your spring. To have that nice and snug fit. If I pull the rug out of our step here, we'll be able to see on the back side. We do have these hook and loop strips that will again, provide a nice little connection point. Make sure that our rug is not slipping around on our step as we're stepping on it. So the first time you install this, you'll just peel off that adhesive backing, get that one side stuck to the front of your step and the backside we'll do the same thing, on the backside of the step. And then anytime you pull off your rug, put it in place again, you'll just line that up and you'll know that it's centered and that is going to provide that connection to keep it from shifting around. We also have this texturized rubber backing that again will be in addition to our springs and our hook and loop strips. Just kind of give it a little extra texture to make sure that it's not going to be moving around on us. Getting it installed is going to be extremely simple. Pull out the steps again here. So we can see that process. Basically all you have to do is drape your step, or drape your rug over your step, pull those back tabs through on the underside. Once you have that hook and loop strip attached on the front, you will want to make sure that you're getting that connected. And then just pull that spring up to that front grommet for all 4 of those tabs. And you're ready to go. Now, this is just the single rug. So if you do have a 3-step system, like I have here, you're probably going to want the 3-rug set that we have available here at etrailer.com. We do have lots of different options for textures, colors, and quantities. This Trailhead texture is the synthetic turf. It's a little abrasive for my taste. I like going barefoot as much as possible. So I would probably go with more one of the soft outdoor carpets, myself. But this is going to do a really good job of keeping that dirt off the bottom of your shoes. So it's really up to you, your personal preference, but we do have other options available here at etrailer.
