When you're in the shower and hear someone flush the toilet or turn on the bathroom sink, an all-too familiar feeling of dread washes over you followed shortly by a sudden burst of hot water scalding your back. The spring-loaded, anti-scald temperature control valve of this assembly balances the pressure between hot and cold water to prevent the water from getting too hot so you won't get burned and can actually enjoy your shower in peace. This feature is especially great for kids, the elderly, and anyone else with sensitive skin.
This assembly lets you upgrade the diverter faucet and shower head in your RV, camper, or boat. To install the faucet, slide the standard NPSM inlet shanks of the new faucet and the deck plate through the already existing mounting holes. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the backside of the wall, and connect the diamond ceramic disc cartridge and hot and cold water lines. Finally, install the shower head and the tub spout onto the shower supply lines. The use of tub and tile caulk (not included) is required.

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Empire Faucet Tub and Shower Diverter Faucet with Shower Head. This is going to be a non-metallic ABS plastic construction with this brushed nickel finished to look really nice for you. This will allow you to upgrade the faucet and shower head in your RV or mobile home. With our faucet here, we just have to lift up the diverter pin.
if we want to send that water to our shower head. When it's in the down position, it will come out of the faucet here. So if we're wanting to take a bath, fill up our tub, we can leave it in the down position, but then once we have the water on, that water pressure is going to keep that tab lifted up or the pin lifted up. Once we have that water pressure to hold it up. Our shower head is a wall-mounted head that is going to provide plenty of adjustment to make sure that you're getting the right angle.
And it does have a lot of different openings there so that you have plenty of water coming out. Giving you a nice, full feel while you're taking a shower. And then we have this single tea cup style handle. That's going to allow us to turn on the water and adjust the temperature by, bring this a little bit closer so you can see, we do have that nice little indication there. So when it's down, it's an off position.
Then as we rotate it, it will get warmer and warmer until we're in the hottest position there. This does have a spring loaded anti-scald temperature balance mechanism that's going to help prevent burns. And on the backside, we have our diamond ceramic disc cartridge. That's going to create a nice watertight seal when the faucet is turned off and it is gonna be maintenance free. You can see our inlet shanks here.
We're gonna get hooked up to our current system. Those are spaced right about 6 inches center to center. So make sure that that will work for your system, but it should be very straightforward. Easy to get installed. It is a wall mount system with a 3 hole installation will require some tile and tub caulk to get everything finished up and so recommend picking some of that up. This is ADA and HUD compliant, so you can trust it is going to do exactly what you need it to do. Be very easy to adjust and make sure that you're staying safe. So, overall I think this is gonna be a really nice system for your RVs and motor homes. It is that lightweight plastic feel, but it looks really nice. Just the appearance, you Wouldn't be able to tell that it's a plastic construction. But being plastic, you won't have to worry about rust, corrosion, and that sort of thing. And the weight is gonna be very minimal. So if you're traveling, it's not gonna add any extra burden to it, still gonna allow you to enjoy that nice look in your tub and shower.
