Video Transcript for Review of Empire Faucets RV Showers and Tubs - Oil Rubbed Bronze Diverter Faucet - EM27HR

Hi there, I'm Michael, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Empire Faucets RV tub, and shower diverter faucet with vacuum breaker. This is going to allow you to upgrade the shower and tub faucet in your RV or camper. This is a non-metallic ABS plastic construction so it is going to be very lightweight, you're not going to have to worry about rust and corrosion. And it does have this oil-rubbed bronze finish, so it is going to look really nice for you. You can see this does have the dual handle design with these teacups style handles that will allow you to fine tune the temperature of your bath or shower.

They have quarter turn cartridge stems that enable the faucet to turn on and off, and then their hot is over here and cold here so you can get that as hot or cold as you like. They do have a washerless design that's going to help reduce the friction and daily wear as you're turning these handles, so it's going to make for a much longer lasting durability than some other models out there. This does also have the vacuum breaker that's going to allow you to attach a handheld shower set. That shower set is not included, but if you already have one it should work right in place there, and that vacuum breaker is going to prevent the backflow contamination of your clean water supply by making sure that the water only goes out to the shower head, no matter how high you have the shower head over the faucet here. To activate your shower, you just lift up on that diverter pin, and that's going to allow the water to flow up to your, or out to your handheld shower, so very simple to operate.

This is a wall mount design, so, you can see we've got our plate here that's going to allow us to get this mounted in place. You are going to need two holes because we have the two inlet shanks here. These are your standard half inch mil NPSM connections, so, should work with your current system. The distance between these shanks center to center is four inches, so, make sure that that's going to work for you. This does have the deck plate and the mounting nuts that will allow you to have a nice firm seal on the backside of your wall for getting this mounted in place.

They do recommend using some tile and tub cork to get everything sealed off and finished, make sure that you're not getting any water leaking back behind there. That is not included, but it should be very easy to pick up so that you can finish off the installation. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty, so if you we're to ever have any problems with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. We're always happy to work with our customers, make sure that you're getting good quality products and having a good experience. So, this is going to be a really nice option if you're wanting to upgrade to that bronze look, or if you're just needing to add on a handheld shower to your system, this is going to do a great job for you.

That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..

  • Can The Ultra Faucets RV Shower Valve Be Changed To Place The Hose Connection On The Bottom
I took the Ultra Faucets RV Shower Valve w/ Vacuum Breaker # 277-000024 apart and found that the cartridge only fits one way and they make the valves so that you wouldn't be able to disassemble and rotate the connection to the bottom. Since there's no hot or cold indicators on the this faucet you could just install it upside down, but the lever would look a little goofy sticking up and the hot and cold would be reversed when turning the lever. We do offer some other faucets that have...
