Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Straight Drain Hose Coupler. It's a nice, strong, durable construction. It's yellow in color. This is going to be your standard coupler. It's designed to fit three inch diameter hoses. Basically, this coupler is designed to couple or to connect two hoses together.
You'd place a hose over this end here, and a hose over this end here. Then you'd secure this hose to this coupler using a hose clamp. Hose clamps are sold separately. Basically, I just want to go over a few basic measurements for you. We're just going to take an overall length measurement. That's going to measure pretty close to 3 1/2 inches long.
The diameter, again, this is designed to slide into a 3 inch diameter hose, and as you can see, it's right around that 3 inch mark, maybe 2 15/16ths of inch in diameter. It will slide in there nicely. Again, you want to attach it securely. You want to push the hose all the way up, and then secure it inside the hose by placing on a hose clamp, and tightening that down for a nice, tight, secure connection. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra Straight Drain Hose Coupler.
