Video Transcript for Camco RV Water Line Blow-Out Plug with Quick Connect Review

Today we're going to demo the Camco RV Waterline Blowout Plug with Quick Disconnect in brass, part number CAM36143. The Quick Disconnect Brass plug connects to your RV's city water inlet and allows you to completely blow out the water lines before winterizing to prevent dilution of antifreeze. Let's go to our RV and we'll show you how to use the product. We're here at our city water connection. We'll remove our cap covering our hookup. You'll take your Blowout plug, thread it into place, just til it gets snug. Once you've got it in place you'll want to go through, open all the faucets in your RV, interior and exterior including any kitchen faucets you might have on the inside and outside, showers or any other water fixture you may have on your RV. With all our faucets open, we'll connect our standard coupler, giving it a tug to make sure it's secure, and at this point is when you would apply your air pressure. We're not going to be doing it in this application because the RV has already been winterized, but you want to start with very low pressure from your oil-less air compressor and work up until you've got all of the water out of the lines. After completely blowing out our water lines, we'll remove our hose and we can continue with our standard winterization process at this point using this valve or if you're done, simply remove the plug, replace your cap and you're all done. This will complete today's demonstration on our Camco RV Waterline Blowout Plug, part number CAM36143. .

Delivered as promised, good job

I used my camper almost every week last winter. I live in northeast nebraska so had to blow out the water lines after each use. The blowout plug made the process guck and easy.

by:

I used this plug and an air compressor to remove all water from my water supply system in our travel trailer. One faucet valve was left open at all times to prevent too much pressure buildup in the system. Once one line cleared I would open another line's valve and close the previous one. I like this system a lot better than having to pump antifreeze through out the system and then having to flush it out in the spring.

by:

I used this connector to winterize my RV Motor Home. It worked great to blow the water out of the lines. the adaptor screws into the fresh water intake on your RV. Be sure to follow the winterizing instructions for your particular RV and don't use too much air pressure. Nothing froze over the winter so it must have worked! Again, be sure to follow the winterizing instructions for you own RV.

by:

This is a must have item to carry in the RV at all times. The 1/4" brass water line blow-out fitting makes the RV winterizing process easy. Starting by blowing compressed air through the entire system with the lower drain valves open allows you to go to the next step of the process, adding the RV antifreeze with no chance of diluting the effective strength due to residual water in the plumbing lines. This brass fitting actually pays for itself in its first use by not having to purchase extra RV antifreeze. Keep in mind that your RV water system is generally lower pressure 45 psi do not over pressurize your system as most air compressors are capable of producing high pressure psi.

by:

I just got done winterizeing my camper, these air water fittings are awesome, defin way better quality than those cheap plastic ones,it also worked great for blowing water out of my garden hoses as well,my compliment to the factory workers who made this, excellant quality a product well made, thank you, well worth the money to buy it

by:

This item does exactly what you would expect, connect to the water connection, connect hose from compressor and Voila! It does have a small hole to allow reduced pressure to your water system- probably a good thing since you can easily generate over 100 PSI air pressure which would surely wreck something.

by:

Just what you need to winterize your camper, or sprinkler lines! Easy to use on my camper by hooking it up to the city water inlet, opening the faucets and hooking up the compressor to blow out the water. Everyone in a climate that has temps below freezing needs one of these!

by:

Made well, easy to use and works great. Perfect alternative to antifreeze. I used it with a portable air tank but could also be used with a compressor just make sure the pressure is dialed way down.

by:

Fit perfect. This one is steel (original was aluminum), should last longer. Comes with new nylon washers and locknuts. I also ordered new bolts and washer kit
(BX84-0089). Tow bar should be good for another 300,000 miles.

by:

As with all my other purchases at etrailer, ( @12 so far) this item was delivered on time and as advertised. I’ve used this item to blow out water from my camper, boat and sprinkler system to winterize and it works like a charm.

by:

I thought I was going to have a hard time finding this part for my camper, so I jump on-line at etrailer.com and low and behold they had the part. It can quickly, so I was able to make repair and get back to camping.........

by:

I successfully used the blow-out plug to winterize my Keystone Springdale trailer. The plug made the job simple and easy.

by:

Much better than the plastic fitting that came in a Winterizing Kit.

by:

Nice for emptying the water out of the garden hose when you need to in cold weather

by:

Saw this browsing items to get to free shipping level (I look at it as free stuff). Last year I used duct tape to create the seal for the air hose, expect many years of service from this and it can be sanitized easily.

by:

Really useful item for blowing out the water tanks before winter.

by:

The blow-out plug is just what I was trying to get locally but all they had was the plastic ones without the quick disconnect. It works perfect. Thank you for the prompt delivery.

by:

Etrailer ships quickly, and their products perform as advertised. I'm very satisfied with both their products and their service. I'll definitely continue to shop with them...

by:

Great quality, solid brass blow out plug. etrailer knocked it out of the park on communication and packaging.

by:

Much better than the plastic one we used last time - the air pressure hose will actually attach to this brass one. Thanks!!

by:

I use this on my RV every fall as well as my sprinkler system. Makes removing the water from the system easy.

by:

customer service was excellent. told me one part would be a week or so to ship and offered alternatives. I was very surprised with the level of service. I will be using etrailer for my future needs

by:

This item worked very nicely for us on our older Motorhome.
