The D-spud outlet on this faucet lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately). Once the shower has been connected to the faucet, it can be activated by lifting the diverter pin up.
This faucet lets you upgrade the tub and shower diverter faucet in your RV or camper. Using the standard NPSM inlet shanks, slide the new faucet and deck plate in place through the mounting holes. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the backside of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. The use of tub and tile caulk (not included) is required.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Phoenix Faucets four inch dual handle RV tub shower diverter faucet. This unit's going to add or replace a tub shower diverter faucet in your RV. It's going to feature the dual acrylic lever handles. It gives the unit a really nice look. It's going to feature the quarter turn design, and they have the H and C on there to act as indicators for hot and cold water functions. The hand held shower is not included but it does have the D-Spud outlet on top for attaching the hand held shower.
Those showers are sold separately. That's basically just a hose and a shower head. They can be found right here at etrailer dot com. When you're ready to use the shower, all you have to do is lift up on the spout lift rod to divert water flow from the tub spout to the shower head. Back flow prevention is obtained by an installed air gap. The air gap is going to act as a back flow preventer, which is going to help prevent contamination of your fresh water supply.
The base of the unit is made from a durable plastic construction, and as you can see, it's going to feature a really good looking chrome finish. The mounting area is going to require two holes for your installation. These are going to be the connection points for the hot and cold water lines. They're separated on center by right around four inches. They're going to give us a length measurement at around an inch and a half. Measuring the base height, we're looking at about two and one eighth.
Measuring edge to edge, it's going to give us a measurement of about six and one quarter inches, and then from the back of the base to the furthest out point of the unit, we're looking at a measurement of around five inches. The connection points right here, these are going to have an outer diameter of thirteen sixteenths of an inch, with an inner diameter of a half inch. The shower hose connector, the D-Spud connector's going to have an outer diameter of thirteen sixteenths of an inch. Overall it's just a really nice design. Pretty simple installation. It does come with the mounting nuts as well as a vacuum plate, and it's going to come with your detailed installation instructions.
In the instructions, it's going to walk you through the installation process step by step. Again, it's going to require two holes for your installation. Those need to have a diameter of one inch, and then it does put in a specific note here in relation to that air gap that I was mentioning earlier for back flow prevention. It says that the outlet of the tub spout must be installed a minimum of two inches above the flood rim of the tub. It's going to walk you through how to get it installed, how to get everything connected. On this side, it's going to go over some operating instructions and just some helpful tips, and on the back side, it does have a detailed breakdown of the parts list. The thing is a piece of trash, the diverter valve has leaked from the very start which lets most of the hot water to leak right to the drain when taking a shower. I should of bought something else, but now just stuck with this that has never worked from the get go correctly.

Really the faucet was installed last May. The RV has not had water to it. So have never tested the faucet. It was part of on going refurbishing of a 22 year old Class B+ RV that I bought a year ago. Also part of this work we've ordered and installed from e-trailer your Dometic 310 toilet, a MaxAir Fan, & other items all installed but some untested. The fan works great. The toilet seems to as we made sure the black and grey tanks were cleaned out well by pouring water down the drains and toilet. We will repeat this spring when it comes out of winter storage. The fresh water tank was removed to repair water damage below it and in the wall it blocked both. We also had to sanitize the tank due to mold entering it where previous owners allowed the air intake hose to flap about un-attached causing the leaks and water damage to the floor. We know the Ford Engine is in decent condition but due to so much unexpected work we are behind a good year getting Miss Mini Mo on the road and fully activated. She's come a long ways & with your help with parts like this. Which btw was almost identical to the one removed. We'll treat her with far more respect than the previous owners have. Thanks e-trailer no doubt we'll be back for more STUFF once we bring her out of winter storage.
I replaced the faucet in my 2014 Skyline SkyCat with this faucet. Two great features here: 1) The best feature is the attachment point for the shower hose. This one is on top of the faucet instead of underneath it. When you shut off the water it all drains down and out of the hose, making winterization a breeze. I don't have to detach the hose to drain it. 2) Since the shower hose attaches at the top, it will effectively be a little bit longer which is nice for taller people.
Lauren (customer service agent) was extremely knowledgeable and responsive to my questions to include my special request for expedited shipping (something not specifically listed on the web site). In addition, the details of the product were great; such that the specifications listed ensured that the product would be a applicable replacement for the defective item in our RV (unlike another, similar product that I ordered from an alternate source that didn't fit and will now have to be returned). Because etrailer orders are late and I’m not getting anything else there. They should ship their stuff with another shipper they will ship with UPS and that sucks.

Great service as always with etrailer. The faucet fit and works nice the only issue it is not white like the pic and description shows, it is more of an off white but it still looks ok in my shower.
We recieved this product yesterday and just installed it. I cannot comment on its longevity due to that, but after using it, I gotta say it is a definite improvement to the factory install in our camper, both in looks AND function. Also, we upgraded our shower head to Oxygenics Body Spa and the brushed nickel of this faucet matches the brushed nickel shower head PERFECTLY! Very happy with this.
Very poor construction ,it was fine at first but later, it would not shut off completely causing a lot of water loss.
It's beautiful and is a good quality plastic. It's hard to tell it's not "real" chrome! I love Phoenix brand a lot. Nice sink & shower upgrades to my rv so far!
I love, love, love the look of this shower faucet. You need to buy a separate shower head and hose kit. It really updates the look of our shower! It did take some work to install and a trip to a local RV store, but looks amazing and works great!
The faucet is much better quality than the one in my new LQ trailer. I liked that it has brass fittings instead of plastic. However...the connectors to the water lines are only 1.5" instead of 1.75" long. Connecting them with the (12B) plastic lock nut would not allow the faucet to be flush with the wall and the wall plate now has an opening that will allow water to get inside the wall. So I have to decide if caulking will work to seal the opening, get smaller lock nuts, or return this.
